@RightFootGames

The only SSD's that can be used to run PS5 games, need to be white lit by Sony, which as of today has not been announced, so to say "Sony is is letting you buy off the shelf SSD" is false, as that SSD will not be able to run PS5 games directly from it, so the storage expansion issue still remains. The same "off the shelf SSD" can be bought for the Series X, you just need to transfer to internal to run the game.

I have owned every xbox and have never bought any proprietary storage.

Have Sony announced their storage solutions yet?

And there is now a clear winner on that front, all MS 1st party on gamepass day 1, now includes any new elder scrolls, fallout, doom, quake and more.

Fanboy logic :-

"lolz, xbox has no games, they need to buy more studios, they have no talented devs lol"

(Xbox acquires talented studios/devs)

"they are putting the whole industry at risk, this is a dark day for gaming"

Exactly, dev costs are higher because they have to build the games around MT's

So you really believe the author of the news article working for Microsoft does not know the difference between the two? Is that what people are implying? Or was it just an actual typing error?

Are you a flat earther?

Lol, so how do you justify call of duty £65 on current gen?

There is no justification for price increases other than greed.

Higher game sales, growing digital market so reduction of production costs, games littered with microtransactions and loot boxes, and publishers say they need to increase price due to development costs? Please, here's a thought, spend less time and resources building your games to take advantage of players wallets.

@outsider

There will always be 3rd party studios.

2109d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Just be content in knowing that you will soon be playing a Microsoft 1st party game on your PS5.

I can almost hear Microsoft doing the Asda price pocket tap

2109d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Will only take 62 months of standard gamepass price to make most of that back lol, half that if people pay for ultimate

2109d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

No confusion, just a typo, it was meant to read "Xbox One and Series X" like it does a few sentences down.

hellblade 2 is not multiplatform.

Hellblade was on PlayStation timed exclusive before Msoft bought the studio.

hand in hand with a Halo delay?

Things are looking good for Halo Infinite, sharing the dev experience and engines.

"If these studios make Xbox exclusives, it'll take longer for them to get their money back"

Really? Elder scrolls and Fallout fanbase that are currently on PS if they make exclusive will have to buy xbox (or pc).

Console sales will at the very least double, and gamepass subs will at least double.

Sony games for $70 per title,
Or gamepass ultimate with all Bethesda games present and future on gamepass day 1?

Why would it not make sense?

What better way to get the fallout and elder scrolls fans to invest in the MS ecosystem
