Because they may want to play new ones as well?
Are you one of those that plays a game once, then trades it in?
Don't know about you, but i still play old games from time to time, i think everyone does, it is just people do not like to admit it.
Gotta milk those gamers!!
I think the difference is Cerny and Sony mentioned the "top 100 PS4 games"
Whereas every single xbox one game will work on the Series X.
I do not see why they can not get all PS4 games running.
It is essentially part BC vs full BC.
Iv'e already got a 2TB external also, i'm ready for the 10th!!!
I already have external storage, won't cost me a dime.
@Project
"You aren't going to be having a large library of games you can just dip into quick and play on a Series X, nevermind the tiny drive on the Series S. Not when we know over 200GB of the SSD is already reserved for Series X at least."
This is an even more relevant issue for the PS5, seeing as though that internal SSD is only 825GB, with no details on what external SSD can actually run PS5 games.
At least with Series...
There is over 250 games currently on gamepass
Don't know why you triggered so bad, was just saying that series x is getting tested and reviewed by independent sites, meanwhile no news on how the PS5 is going to handle BC, External SSD, etc.
Still banging the "OMG raytracing in R&C!!!!!" drum, and the inter dimensional travel you talk about? Is all on rails and scripted, displaying a flash to "hide" the loading time (which is too fast to detect).
" Sony is showing New ...
@Bladesfist
"Interesting that PC users don't need ultimate to get EA Play access"
Not really, PC users have no need for gamepass Ultimate,
gamepass for PC, is just games for PC and EA Play.
Xbox Gamepass Ultimate is Gamespass for PC, Gamepass for xbox, Xbox live gold and EA Play
Xbox Gamepass is just games for xbox.
So set it transferring if you need to and then go make a brew.
Unless you plan on transferring 5+ games daily, then this really is not an issue
Take into account games now sell millions, as opposed to hundreds of thousands, and even at £50, game publishers are making more money than ever.
Stop trying to justify companies hiking prices just to make more profit.
How much time/staff/resources are used moulding MT's and loot boxes around games?
Meanwhile in PS5 news, we have a few close up images of the new controller.
@UltraNova
One problem, the PS5 has not announced any feature that does this without optimisation.
So average 17 seconds, to save the current game, suspend the data transferring through the CPU/GPU, start data transferring from a separate game through the CPU/GPU, all whilst keeping all progress frozen at a certain point across multiple games (at least 5)? Yeah quite quick to be honest.
Say, have they shown something like this on PS5 yet?
Why do people p*** in the summer and expect it to freeze?
There will be games running 30fps, on PS5 and Series X, along with BC games on both consoles that are capped at 30fps.
Go back to school
@RgR
"Wouldn't call BC delivering... They already had that this gen. Continuation of what they were already doing is what we have here."
So why are Sony striving to do the same?
Let's see what Ashunderfire86 says about the PS5 games running at 30fps in 4K, because there will be some.
Do you know the noise level of the PS5 whilst running PS4 games to compare?
Thought not
What else could they play boing1?
You think they are going to let them playtest and reveal the UI and all the launch games.
Some people please, give me strength (looks up at the sky)
(still waiting to see independent breakdowns on the PS5, as well as know what SSD external i can run PS5 games from)
If they are part of the current BC list on xbox.com, then yes, just pop the disc in and off you go, whether it be OG xbox, 360.
And every single xbox one game you currently have, can be thrown in to the Series S or Series X and it will work right out the gate.
