Intersting read, but I would not hack the box I own. I support the game makers by buying their products. They can only make them if they can sell them.
Curious if N4G supports hacking? They have provided us a link with instructions on how to do it. No wonder this website is blocked through the web proxies where I work.
Passing. I played the demo after the first one after was ported over to PS3, and it just felt like one of those same old Sci-fi FPS games I have played a million times. I would assume the new one has better graphics, but the first one looked really dated as far as graphics when it was released on PS3. Not interested in the series because of that experience though.
Wii game library intentionally targets a different demographic than PS3 & Xbox360. The device doesn't have the horsepower of the other two, so games that push the limits of 360 & PS3 can't be done well on Wii. I am not saying it is a better or worse league, but it definately is in a different league.
Everytime I see these DOA bikini girls, I can't help think about how they are created by computer nerd dudes. Pretty creepy when you think about that, lol.
I don;t like playing on a PC, but it has nothing to do with feelings of Microsoft...it's not that my PC can't handle new games, it is just that I am spoiled playing on my couch in front of my big HDTV through the PS3.
I have no opinion really of Xbox360, good or bad. I just just don't care for having multple game systems cluttering up my place.
I think it is too bad that parents are not more on the ball these days. Young children really don't have the ability to rationalize like adults, and their context of reality can be corrupted by being constantly exposed to adult media.
MA games have a place in the world of entertainment, but even though I love video games I find it disturbing when I see parents let little ones play those games or watch R rated movies.
Hopefully they key in on what was great about Resistance 1 & make the next one more like 1 than 2.
Yeah they threw more action into R2, but it started feeling monotonous to me because more action was just more volume of NPCs moving faster. Adding swarming zombies is about as unoriginal as it gets in FPS level design. Taking away the weapon wheel, and replacing it with limited weapon carrying felt like a step back, instead of forward. I felt like I was playing an older game...
My first PS3 lasted 18 months, then cost me 150 dollars to have fixed. Too many fan boys out there with blinders on when this subject comes up. They just don't make things like they used to.
Ego maniacs don't surround themselves with a team of equal or better talent. They either intentionally avoid that, or drive it away with their attitude.
The reality is that drives will fail, firmware update or not. My first PS3 only lasted 18 months before croaking. It wasnt from a firmware update, it was just a POS.
Milking or not, it is pretty smart thing to do. The idea is to sell product of course. I will but it too, because this game is addictive.
Whatever. Just sounds like typical game company hype to keep people interested during long gaps between game releases. Same old same old.
Good game. I clocked in a lot of hours on this, and got my 60 bucks worth, and then some.
Microsoft gaming division = the tacky unprofessional side of Microsoft.
You know what they say about people that talk too much smack...talk is cheap.
He should stick to games, and even in the games stick more to games. The story is convuluted, self indulgent, & hard to follow.
Home is just wierd & creepy. You get what you get.
Like rooting for a sports team...except for the rooting part.
Interesting. Whatever works for ya.
I agree. It is taking a while for people to catch on, but now Naughty Dog has a lot of recognition for their work on the series. I am one of those that never played the 1st until UC2 came out. I wanted to get up to speed by playing the first one, and when I did, I was thinking, "Jeez, why didn't I play this great game when it first came out?"
It is funny that anyone bothers to read opinions from a blog calling themselves negative gamer. If I wanted to hear negativity about things I like, I'd call up my ex girlfriend.
