Funny how when a shiny new toy finally hits the store shelf, people change their minds...I have never cared much for motion control games, but I think I am going to make a store run today & buy this.
I thinking banning is wrong. However, I wouldn't buy it. My concience tells me it isn't cool to sit on my ass at home, making a fun game out of a current real situation where people are dying every day.
I guess I need to start shopping for a steering wheel. November is coming up fast.
Kind of cool. Trippy fake ad.
I am kind of suckered in on this now. I have barely any interest in motion control games...but a new toy, ok, I guess I'm down for that, and will go pick one up tomorrow.
Haha, so true. Sounds like false advertising if they don't have Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs, Challengers, Chargers, etc, in this game.
No preorder here, but I'll be getting this too. Even though I am not too interested in Move, I want to pick up a 2nd PS3 for another room. I know I could end up regretting later not buying this bundle isntead of a plain old PS3 alone.
Invest in better toys instead of ads to make crappy toys look good.
I have done my fair share of ripping on kinect, but I would consider the source of this article.
You have to use some critical thinking before reacting to someone saying "a bunch of researchers said..."
What researchers? What study? Anyone can make up stuff like this and post it on the Internet. Real information please.
It's nice to see this discussion in it's entirety, because I have been seeing some of these comments taken out of context in other articles.. seemingly trying to get a rise out of people.
looking back to get hit counts. haha.
The thing that is funny about these clowns is the whining when their schemes don;t work out. Cry us a river. Nobody feels sorry for cheaters getting blocked.
Whenever I hear someone say "is blu ray even needed today" I recall similar silly questions over the years of computer evolution.
Do we really need a CPU that runs at 66MhZ? Do we really need more than 16MB of RAM? Do we really need a gigabyte harddrive?
Yes we do need to keep moving forward, because someone is always dreaming of doing something bigger, better, and more amazing. Using 15 year old technology limits the ability of people to realiz...
WTF? A lot of game play going on in most of those titles.
Even Heavy Rain was the first game I played that made quick time events feel instense and engaging.
As we all know, the US government does not ban any games, movies, music, books, etc.
However, popular entertainment media, like movies & games go through a rating system. If a game or movie goes unrated, it is hard to get industry & retail support to have any success. So the really ugly stuff just isn't profitable, and doesn't always even make it to market.
It is not "blocked" from sale by anyone. US Military bases everywhere in the world have chosen not to carry it in their stores, just like any private sector business decides what products it wants to sell.
I have to say, I see their point for not wanting to stock that product on their store shelves.

A debate by a relative handful of vocal people about this subject doesn't "prove" anything about a diverse nation of 308 million people that all have different viewpoints.
Funny to see the fanboys freak-outs. From what I read here, he is pointing out flaws, not saying they won't sell games on the 360. But I suppose some here didn't even read or comprehend the article, and would rather defend flaws because they are flaws from their favorite brand.
A game system without HD these days is limited to being just a kids toy. When people want to buy a new gadget, nobody gives a rats ass what is the orignal. They want the latest, better model. Unless they are cheap.
This ad campaign isn't going to go over well in Japan.
