Probably plays it with his pants at his ankles every night.
After reading these forums, it is not a surprise to me when someone says the average console gamer is actually pretty clueless about tech.
Most tired, rehashed, and pointless drivel of an article in the game scene these days:
Most overrated games list.
At least try to come up with something fresh if your going to take the time to write an article.
I don't get the complaint...this is DLC, not a change to the original game. If you want to think the original is some kind of work of art that should not be altered, you can keep your disc without buying the DLC.
Good read, but two counter points..
5.Wii ideas Rip Off - I don't think there is any deception going on here. We all know where the Move/Kinect idea came from, but so what? A new peripheral for a console we already own is a good thing, not a bad thing.
1.Gaming as a product to sell - Hate to break it to the author, but the video games they sell at the store have ALWAYS been products. Nobody is buying them to hang in art galleries.
Dear rest of the world,
Nobody over here in America cares what the rest of the world revolves around. Most of us would ask the world to stop bugging us if it decided to start revolving around us. It is too fat. It smells bad. It is too noisy. It has some ugly spots on it. No thanks world, go revolve around somewhere else.
Sincerely,
Average American
I really don't care about CPU piss fights...but this quote is why I look forward to these PS3 exclusives games over multiplat ports:
"We can focus on the specific things that the PS3 provides and tailor everything on the technology specifically for it so that we can squeeze every drop out of it."
IMO 20" is even too small for surfing the web on my PC. I don't live in a minature house, so I have no interest in buying minature TVs, regardless of price.
This kind of thing is becoming common in the game industry. Game of the year editions that include all the DLC that other suckers payed a lot extra for. Special editions with extra content that day one buyers don't get.
The message to gamers is wait a year after the game comes out before buying it. The publishers are doing more to get the late buyers attention for extra sales. If a game is not on your "must have right away" list, it is better to wait for a whi...
Tumble is a good tech demo of what the Move can do, that the Wii can't. Pretty cool how it tracks objects in space, as you very carefully move them forward, backward, up & down. If you don't have a steady hand, the slightest twitch is registered, which can cause your tower to fall.
Played the demo. I'd buy it if it was free. meh
Let's not have any illusions of the Internet backbone, and ISP backbones. The Internet is not a single entity that is working real hard to improve speed. It is a mesh of a myriad of private companies & public owned segments linked together. Increasing bandwidth capability is a major capital investement for individual companies, and is done a little at a time.
And just like the PC/software arms race, there is the same situation with bandwidth. When infrastructure is ...
A lot of conjecture from people in the industry right now. But ultimately the consumers decide what is successful or not.
I am not going to buy games that I know are stripped down of all the content they already developed. I am not going to buy large games that are download only. If a significant amount of gamers feel the same way as I do, then there will still be a market for full retail games on disc.
If your even thinking about this, you need to throw away the games & get a girlfiend. Seriously.
N4g posters...they only repeat tired slogans over & over.
I don't think dust or console heat is going to hurt a blu ray disc. Those things are pretty durable.
And EA
Weapon is a good choice of words. As in the context of a weapon wielded to smite down customers...and get more than 60 dollars for the things they intentionally left off the disc, so they can sell it seperately.
I myself have no criticism of the choice at that time. It obviously worked out for them very well. The 360 product does not have a long enough lifespan at this time to upgrade it to Blu Ray. So it is what it is, and does a good job for what it does.
My arguments are with those in denial that blu ray is not commonplace technology now, and actually a useful enhancement over DVD (which some just refuse to accept). I roll my eyes in disbelief when anyone champions the cause of...
Played through the entire game twice...first pass as a good guy. The second time around, I played evil & blew that joint up!
