I think if you are interested in PS3, you have to know why you are buying this device. It isn't the best choice if you only want to play MW2 online or an open world Rockstar game like GTA4 & Red Dead Redemption. It is the perfect choice if you like the niche games that have been crafted for the specific hardware, also want Blu Ray to go along with your HDTV, want to take advantage of new features like 3D, and like using the free PSN network. If you are looking for only the biggest mul...
Coming from a company still not sold yet on HD movies on Blu Ray, it all makes sense.
Keep sitting and waiting for others to fail instead of innovating Microsoft. Let us know how that works out for you.
No it said, "Sorry folks, still not done yet"
The quality of your character is what you do when nobody is watching.
Why would I pay full retail instead of paying a pirate? Because I live my life trying to do what is right.
The rewards for living this way ultimately pays off in much greater returns than short gains in getting "stuff" that you covertly steal.
On his comments on Far Cry 2: boring does not fall into the category of a glitch, even though I agree with his opinion.
Two worst games as far as glitches I have played on a PS3:
Madden 2008 - franchise mode totally broken to where you can't advance (even after the patch)
Fallout 3 - If I earned 10 cents for every time it caused total system lockup, the game would have payed for itself (and I might even have made a profit).
In general a lot of us are jaded when it comes to sequels. We know that many times it is an easier path for game companies to follow the money with cookie cutter sequels on the same game engine, rather than taking a little risk on developing new game concepts.
Already is. Gamers don't seem to be the deepest thinkers about different cultures in the world. They also seem to be a rather intolerant lot.
Makes sense. Have you seen Oprah & her audience? They could use one of those fitness games for the Kinect.
LOL, I am no fanboy, not anti microsoft...but nobody who understands tech would think a 360 is "superior hardware" to anything but the Wii.
However, as you suggest, some games that are ported over to the PS3 are done in such a half-assed way, I have to laugh at the feeble attempt when comparing to games made specificaclly for the PS3 hardware. It's like comparing amateurs to professionals.
They do a great job. One of the devs out there that remembers game software is more than being just a cool concept...it also has to run smoothly on the hardware it is made for.
If Bethesda addresses this as urgently as they did with issues with FO3, it might be a looooooooong wait for patches. And I think they only patched that game once, leaving most of the issues unresolved.
haha, you people are funny with your bean counting. Got bored with playing games, so now you debate about who is playing games as an alternative hobby? LOL
Sounds like a repeat of FO3, which was one of the most FUBAR big budget games I've ever played, from a technical standpoint. I just can't see shelling out 60 more bucks so I can get mad at my system freezing up all the time again. Gonna have to pass on this new bugfest.
I have been streaming with the PS3 for years...through this little thing called a "browser". Funny, but you'd think a company like Microsoft would have at least a browser on their device. Oh well.
Humans have to input their commands in a game. They have see & react to what is happening before they make that input. There is delay in these reaction times. There are limitations to our human abilities.
A programmer could easily make a game that is impossible for us average humans to compete against. They can make it instantly react to our input without having to "see" us. They can make it so the enemy will rather hide than get shot (that is smart AI after a...
There were no joker missions. Just an additional Joker skin with some different moves in the challenge arena (which is only fun for about five minutes). It really isn't the same thing as a game expansion DLC.
Multiplats on a PS3 should be seen as hand me downs. Because they are usually a few steps below the exclusives in quality.
Not to mention how so much software is released before bugs are fixed, now that companies know they can now patch it afterwards on consoles.
Sometimes games are just too frustrating to put up with until they are patched a few weeks (or longer) after being released. Just because it is at the store doesn't mean they are actually finished with it these days.
If you are trying to sell multiplatform games, You make some and you lose some sales with this kind of business model.
But I think a lot of PS3 users were already uncertain about the New Vegas game, because we saw how completely incompetent Bethseda is at making their software run on the PS3 processor. Great game if it works right, but the end result sure was sloppy. If it wasn;t so frustrating, I'd LOL at a supposed AAA game that freezes up as much as FO3 did. Total j...
Simple answer on "Why should I have to relearn everything just for Sony?"
It depends on how excited you are to learn new things, and how much you are getting paid to do it. The devs currently making great exclusives for this platform would probably answer this way.
