Jeez, who are they trying to BS? We all know what kind of gaming these interfaces are for. They act like they are ashamed to admit what they made this thing for in the first place.
Would never work in my small living room, unless I got rid of all my furniture, and stood at the back wall facing the TV.
It would sell a lot more before the holiday. People buying gifts for others in addition to those buying the game for themselves. That is just the way it is around Christmas
I have been using the proxy application PlayOn on my PC to stream regular Hulu to my PS3. Great program that makes it look like you have a direct interface to various streaming sites directly from the PS3, even though you are proxying through your PC. The free service is cool with me. I don't mind a few commercials.
Outside of the gaming community geeked out about the grahics for this game, who is really hyped up to buy it? This game is talked about on blogs, but outside of that it seems obscure compared to the household name blockbuster games. I would think they will have to spend tons to advertise the hell out of it to even come close to some of the blockbuster military FPS game sales.
Funny, but I always thought reviews were written by people. I guess they are not according to gamercrave
I totally understand the business drivers for not pursuing BC on the PS3.
But I don't think selling remastered PS2 games on the PSN store is even in the realm of discussion of backwards compatability. If you are buying a new PS3 version of an old game, you are essentially buying a new game. Not at all related to the concept of BC.
Haha, the disagree to my comment made me laugh. Because I was just playing this game before surfing back to this site, and it hard froze on me three times in an hour's worth of play.
AC2 is one of those games I think you can answer YES to, when people question if video games can be considered art.
Nobody cares about such things in business, as who is the originator of a trend. Because in business, it really isn't "follow the leader". It is "follow the money". Nintendo hit the mark in tapping into a different gaming demographic than your typical MS & Sony consumer, so now it is only logical the other two console makers look over to that other demographic to generate more revenue.
As far as saying they should innovate more, what does that e...
I haven't played this game. But in this current game era, I think people are just a lot more critical of games in the top tier 60 dollar price range. There is a level of excellence people are looking for when spending 20% the price of what their game console cost on a single game title.
yes, I am looking forward to this one.
It would probably freeze up even more than it already does.
I only went to it a few times, and my impression is that it is a wierd & creepy way to interact with people. I guess living in an avatar reality just isn't for me.
I think gamers expectations have gone totally out of wack these days. I can understand not digging a game, but saying a game like this is a "lazy design"? You may not like their design choices, but this a pretty large game that looks like a lot of work went into it IMHO.
As far as attention span goes, I think that is totally irrelevent. You are getting into the realm of personal taste when it comes down to what is interesting or not to you when playing a game.
When people say games like Borderlands is repetitive or boring, I assume they are looking for more story, which was the weak point of this game.
But ultimately, when you get down to it, a FPS game with a good story, and not so good shooting mechanics provides even less replayability than a game like Borderlands with great FPS control, and not much story. I've played Borderlands over & over again, because I like the gameplay...even if the missions are nothing more th...
Four player multiplayer, first person shooter, with millions of guns, addictive levelling up, & enhancing your character, cool looking graphics, and a fun sense of humor...Borderlands is a no brainer for success. The other game just looks like some other game I don't know much about.
I played the demo, which was just a boss fight. I thought it was a pretty cheap fight, because after I finally beat down the boss, with only a sliver of health left myself, the boss regenerated all his health after I missed a surprise quick time button pressing test. If you didn't read a guide book, or play the fight more than once, most players would not be ready for that little dirty trick.
These guys better deliver the best game ever made after all this. Otherwise they are just going to be seen as totally incompetent after all these push backs on release dates.
Very few games make me want to go buy it the day it comes out. This is one of those games, because how many laughs I had playing SR2. There is some funny sh*t in that game.
