FF7.. still in development, no release window. Last Guardian, according to developer "will hopefully release in 2016".. Black Ops 3 DLC, Destiny DLC.. so what exactly did they announce that is coming out before the next E3? Uncharted 4 in spring, and that's it.
I thought the video seems laggy/slow as well. Could be due to the textures they were using, but that doubles as a sign that there will probably be some visual downgrades to get the FPS up. It had a pre-rendered feel, so i'm not sure if that's actual gameplay or just CGI simulated gameplay.
Indeed.. this game is more for the skyrim players who explore every cave, creek and mountain.
Yep i'm sure PS fanboys are celebrating this.. it's only OK if Sony does it.
Yep, they sure beat them to the punch on the 1-month head start for DLC on a dying game franchise.
I hope so.. no chance in hell i'm paying $60 for a remaster of a 10 year old game. Whole trilogy pack or nothing.
Make sure you give them no time after announcing the fact backwards compatibility is coming to jump to conclusions. They said 100 by year end and more coming..
How many backwards compatible games does PS4 have? Let me count them for you.. oh wait I can't because 0 is the absence of countable things.
Ok, first off backwards compatibility has been announced for what.. 2 hours now? Cool your jets kid.
Also it was what, the second thing they announced? How is that not mentioning it? That's called mentioning it almost right off the bat.
More clarification? Here's a thought... wait. It's only available to preview members, think some additional info will come from them while it's being tested and fine-tuned?
Your expect...
Those textures look a little too smooth/shiny and there's no UI, so it definitely seems to be a pre-rendered video in this post. The videos I saw yesterday seems to have low frame-rate as well. In order to get to 60fps, especially if that's a target for consoles as well, there's going to be some downgrades. Sounds like a PC platform buy if it's supporting mods and if you want superior graphics.
Correct.. a DDoS sends a flood of requests to an endpoint, be it a server or switch. Servers want to handle every request, since that is what servers do.. serve. It can't differentiate between the fake and actual requests, and eventually buckles.
If their issues are solely from players trying to connect, then it's just a sign that they did not adequately prepare for their launch. But then I rarely hear of a new game or expansion launching without issues either.. ...
I was a pretty big fan of Titanfall.. more than most I'd say. As far as multiplayer goes it's the same repetition as CoD.. 6v6.. not a ton of maps.. cod has killstreaks, titanfall has titans. What made a difference for me was how linear and bottlenecked CoD maps are. AW added more vertical movement which partially addressed this, but there's still the same spots where people HAVE to come around this corner on ground level. Titanfall had none of that, and as a result had almost...
It comes with the Windows-based wireless adapter so you can use the xbox controller on PC.. so I don't really expect it to work hooked directly to an xbox one. It'll likely be a combination of the xbox-to-pc streaming, then the oculus being the display output device. This seems like a lot of 'moving parts' so I'm curious to see how well it all works together.
It's even more simple than that.. you need a beefy PC to run the oculus, period. It's a dual-screen monitor that renders 3d, so two different images that need to be in perfect sync. The recommended PC specs were a quad core i7, and a very high end graphics card, 8gb ram, etc, 2x USB 3.0 ports. Maybe later versions will utilize USB C, for it's higher bandwidth and a simpler interface.. if it can handle dual 4k screens it should be able to handle what the Oculus requires.

Seems like we would have heard more already if it was mere 'finishing touches' that remain. But i'm a pessimist, so unless they announce it at E3 I'll continue treating the game as vaporware.
Too many publishers seem to believe that they MUST release their games during holiday season to sell the most units at full retail price. Had they simply delayed the game til it worked (be that March or May) then slashed the price at the next holiday, they would've saved face. Maybe at the expense of millions of $$ in sales, but that's insignificant compared to the brand damage caused by releasing their unfinished product.
Says the guy who is most definitely not married.
Yep.. I'll either get it wayyy later for half price, or wait for it to go into the EA vault.
Well it's not hard to upgrade textures either. It depends on the release date as well.. earlier builds are about function and bug-squashing than appearances. Even if the graphics are final, i'd rather have a smooth-running game with good visuals than a photo-realistic game with constant frame-rate issues.
Fallout games in general are a great value, with big maps and many side-quests and areas to explore.
The Borderlands collection is an example of a good remake/remaster.. a lot of content for your buck. But if the Gears of War remaster is just Gears 1, no way in hell i'm going to spend anything more than $20 on it.
Yep they won the "stuff that should've been announced next year" award.. FF7 doesn't even have a release year/window .. Last Guardian is "hopefully releasing in 2016". So guess that leaves Uncharted 4.. congrats on your 1 game before next holiday!
