The Last Guardian remains vaporware. Aside from renewing a trademark, there has been no screenshots, gameplay, or even a mention. I doubt it'll even get mentioned at E3 this year.
I think the more entertaining part about his presser is his theory on growing player base. This article is a summary, but there's another where he says every few months he hopes to add 2-3 million players. He seems to believe nobody will stop playing while they add millions.
Clearly he hasn't played his own game or he'd understand why players are leaving in droves.
Destiny is a rich man's Warframe. Do you actually play either of these games? $20 DLC for 3 missions, a strike, and a raid.
I like how he cites active daily player numbers, and each time the number grows. Apparently 0 people quit this game and it grows by millions of players every few months. Because nothing hooks millions of new players like playing the same few strikes over and over.
One of the pro's of GTA5 though, several characters to choose from. Granted none had a deep and true feel to them.. Niko and even CJ had more depth than Michael and Franklin. Trevor on the other hand.. that's a character.
The driving in GTAIV was horrible though, every car drove like a boat. I'd see a nice looking car and go "there, maybe this one won't be slow and shitty" .. and lo-and-behold it'd be a corvette with a VW beetle engine.
Yeah I expect a vast majority of the player base has moved on at this point.. and rightfully so. For a November launch to just now be stable/working is unacceptable.
He probably didn't read it, or skimmed it like I just did. Look there's probably a dozen posts exactly like this on the Bungie forums. He's got a good point, there's millions of players who've played Destiny, we don't need an article for each of them.
There's nothing in the article that hasn't been beaten to death already. RNG sucks, repetition sucks, and so on..
Definitely my least favorite as well. When the main character is that flat and uninteresting it ruins the whole game in my opinion.
Exactly.. it's essentially a post to let us know that eventually there would be a post with info. I'm guessing there's a lot of players feeling like they're done, and Bungie is scrambling around trying to find ways to keep them interested.
Pretty much. It's been mentioned in the Reddit leaks from the 404Architect "Bungie employee" that the decision to cut down the game and release pieces as DLC was done by Activision. So it's very likely it was intended to be released on launch, and parsed back to increase profits with season passes and extend their "new content" schedule.
Honestly they probably would have gotten away with it, had it not been for the repetitive nature of the game a...
Oh sweet jesus, please don't let people start posting their Xur predictions as articles on here. If you're really that interested in random guessing of his loot just visit the Bungie forums. There's at least a dozen posted each week.
It could be unlike other Battlefield titles by simply working on day 1. Even in their solid titles like Battlefield 3 they had launch day issues. EA chronically underestimates server traffic for their launches, hopefully they do something about it this time around.
My game backlog is extensive enough that I'm picking up most games new for $30 from Amazon. Starting to re-assess my day 1 purchasing routines as I'm basically getting 2 for 1, and in most cases I don't have to wait more than a few weeks for deals to start.
Gamefly. It was made for games like this, and Wolfenstein, Ryse, and Bioshock Infinite. Good games, but little/no replay value and any game that can be finished off in 1-2 sessions is too short for a $60 price point.
He's a prime example of a company man who doesn't belong on Kickstarter. It's one thing to work for a major company and have ambitious goals that are slashed to meet deadlines and budget constraints.. it's another to crowd-fund a game with funding benchmarks then go "Whoops, guess a lot of these features aren't going to work after all".
It's why I'll never support a kickstarter game.. i'll buy a game when it's released and see exactly w...
False. The article that mentions that info is from kdramastars.com, while this article about Xur is from the Destiny community manager DeeJ. One of these sources is not like the other.
Seems like an ambiguous article title. Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes could also take upto 3 hours to complete.. or 15 minutes.
Gee it's been what.. 1 day since the last "here another reason you should own a Wii U" article. Not getting old at all. Here's a reason not to: The graphics are last-gen, and the only company making games for it is Nintendo themselves.
Very true. Most of the good/higher end gaming video cards cost about the same as a console system. So i'm sure there's a fair amount of graphical 'optimizing' done to console versions of games to find that perfect compromise of quality vs performance.
