I wish we saw deals like this for PS5. I would buy a second one.
I don't see Sony being ahead as a problem and I am not a fan of these racing Sims to be able to give an accurate comparison of the physics and AI between the 2 games.

Gt7 does seem it has the advantage based on the comparison video. It's winnings come from mostly small differences. GT7 has been out for 2 years and have received several updates since launch and it is possible Forza may receive some updates to address some of the issues in the future.
They are both good looking games and if you are a car enthusiast, you should have a good time with either game.
Well it is disappointing to hear this news. I almost forgot about them because they haven't put out a game since 2014.

If they can use UE5 and target 60FPS without the game being bloated with random quests, then I will be happy.
I bought it during the black Friday sale for the same price. I haven't played it as yet as I am savoring spider-man 2 I loved the FF7 remake and the FF16 Demo. There is no doubt I will enjoy this game once I get around to playing it.
I can't believe people are disappointed with the graphics. I shard the trailer when it came out with a few persons, and they replied saying it looks like CGI.

Lords of the Fallen PS5/Series X 1440P30 quality 1080P60 performance while the Series S runs at 1080p30 and 720P60 Dynamic. It has been observed to drop as low as 432p.
EA sports FC 24 PS5/Series X 4k60 while series S runs at 1440P60 Both have dynamic resolution.
I speak from my point of view as a gamer and not the sole benefit of a company. My opinion is that if those fees were not so high and if Sony didn't lock their subscription and digital titles to the PS store, they could still make enough money to be profitable, games could be cheaper and developers could earn more from each sale they make without having to look to microtransactions to bolster revenue.
It's about time and it looks to raise the bar for open world games to a new height. I am a little worried about the framerate of some of the scenes on the trailer. Hopefully it is just some youtube upload issue.
EDIT it seems the video settings was set to low on the video by default. When I increased the resolution on my end it improved significantly. false alarm
If Sony is making most of their revenue from 3rd party game referrals and subscription fees, what incentive would they have to continue making 1st party games?
Look at what happened with Valve, with the huge success of steam, we don't see allot of games being published by them and fans are asking for sequels to several of their games.

Valve is the prime example of how a 30% referral fee can negatively impact their overall game output. Most of us can agree that charging 30% on all 3rd party transactions made in the PS Store is excessive. Sony is currently in a dominant position in the high-end console gaming market by a mile.
If the majority of their revenue starts coming from PS store transactions and subscriptions while the competitor continues to be ignored by the public, they will have less incentives...

@Inverno While it is possible to purchase PS5 digital games from 3rd party sources, it is not for the general population. Right now, Sony still has a monopoly on the distribution of PS plus subscriptions and digital games.

I doubt Sony is releasing a touch screen controller because experienced gamers don't look at the controller while playing.

This is one of the weakest months based on PS plus standards and if this the trend going forward, then it solidifies my decision to allow my subscription to lapse since the price increase. I also don't understand why I am seeing so many defenders commenting on this.

Based on the numbers the total number of consoles sold increased by 3,277,839 million units. This is largely due to the success of the PS5 and the PS4. Unfortunately, there was a decline on the Nintendo switch and the Xbox console, however, the Switch is understandable due to it being near the end of life.
Hopefully the PS5 can maintain its momentum going into 2024 with less anti-consumer news compared 2023.
