That is why I started making my own pizza. I make the dough from scratch, then buy the cheese, toppings, and pizza sauce.
Once I have prepared the pizza to my liking, I only need to bake it at high heat for about 8 minutes, and it's done. The best part is I can customize it any way I want for a fraction of the price. I will likely never buy pizza again.
Blame Epic, EA and Activision for keeping the console alive with their sports and live service games. When you look at the most downloaded games of 2025 list, most of those games are available PS4.
If things were normal, we would be seeing the ps6 between fall of this year or next year the latest.
I believe more than 90% of console gamers would rather not see the PS6 until 2029 or beyond. I still feel dissatisfied with what I have gotten so far this generation from Sony and other devs.
There is no incentive to buy into a closed ecosystem with no exclusives. I wish they would just make windows lite or steam os bootable on the Xbox so long time fans who still own the console can get some enjoyment.
I think your comment is the most sensible comment that explains the issues gamers have with Ubisoft.
I bought Assasins Creed Valhala a few years ago on Xbox, but I have not even installed it as yet because my friends have playtimes approaching 100 hours. These days it is hard to put aside that much time for one game. Ubisoft's remedy to that problem is to buy their time savers. That is madness.
In my opinion, you should only consider playing this game on the Switch 2 if you do not have a PS5, Xbox Series console, Steam deck or PC.
The game runs at 30 FPS on the Switch 2 even with features like DLSS available. If you are used to 60fps gaming I would encourage you to look elsewhere until Square Enix finds a way to have this running at 45 to 60FPS.
I am not saying this to hate on the Switch 2 as a platform, it is just that the choppiness of 30 fps...
I thought the PS3 sold over $100MM, but it makes sense it sold $87MM. That was the only generation Playstation had serious competition from both Xbox and Nintendo. Good for Sony to be this successful. I just wish we saw more games from them, much like in the PS3 and PS4 generations.
This list is very short. I am not sure I would put Saros on the list because Returnal is a very niche title. This is a bullet hell game. Those games have their audience, but they are not for everyone, and I would never recommend that game to anyone unless I know they love those types of games.
My most anticipated games are:
GTA 6
Forza Horizon 6
Fable
007 First Light
Wolverine
I don't own a Switc...
I believe expecting drive club level weather effects from Forza Horizon is not fair to the game and may be unnecessary.
I never played Drive Club, but did those weather effects add to the enjoyment of the game, or did it leave players frustrated anytime the rain starts to fall?
There must be a reason not many other racing games adopted those weather features after all these years. Not even racing Sims like Forza Motorsport or Gran Turismo.
This is not specific to Nintendo, but I miss the days when digital games used to see a 50% discount within a year of release. Those days are long gone and we are now paying the digital tax.
Nintendo is doing more to drive Switch 2 sales in Japan. They have a Japanese only version Switch 2 that cost nearly $200 less than what everyone else pays worldwide.
Too bad for the trophy hunters, but this action is necessary.
The existence of these games for the sole purpose of helping people pad their trophy list cheapens the experience.
It also clutters the store with garbage games.
I would like to see a list that has both free to play and paid games together, but at least we have this.
To this day GTA5 is a top downloaded game and it makes me wonder if the industry is really ready for GTA6. I imagine almost nothing else will sell during that game's release window.
I don't believe this year's Call of Duty fell because it is losing popularity.
The game had many issues such as a bad campaign, poor ui designs, bad marketing, not enough new content to justify being full price and serious competition from the new Battlefield game.
Activision and Microsoft needs to do a post mortem and think of solutions that will benefit the franchise going forward and not just share holders. Quality must come first or they kill...
If you want to be the biggest budget gamer and have a decent phone for example a Samsung Galaxy s21 or higher class phone, you can do emulation. Samsung Galaxy s23 or higher can even do switch emulation, and some PC emulation.
If you have a modern laptop, you can just about emulate everything.
If you are not comfortable with emulation, then buy a PS5 and play older titles when they go on sale.
People will likely buy the expansions at some point. The Hot Wheels one is super fun.
I agree. Nintendo is leaving billions on the table. If they left console gaming behind and let us say released a mainline Pokémon game on android and IOS, in addition to console and PC, I cannot imagine the amount of profit they would enjoy.
Modern phones are good enough to play most Nintendo switch games so if they made a mobile controller that can interface with android and IOS phones, they could port games like Mario Kart 8 to mobile phones and other consoles. I am ...
I wonder if I should do one last stronghold run before the game goes offline.
What is happening now is unprecedented in the tech industry so you can't blame people who choose to upgrade every 5 or more years. AI and data centers deserve most of the blame and the rest would fall on the speculation pricing posted by retailers at the start of this mess.
The ram manufacturers have also been collectively manipulating the supply for years so the price of ram doesn't fall below a point they are comfortable with. Gone are the days ram prices were dir...
This is bad news. Those people earning over $100k were always buying games, but now their contribution to the dollars spent increased from 40% to 52%.
These numbers indicate that gaming is slowly turning into a rich person's hobby with person's earning under $50k contributing to only 19% of the dollars spent in Q4 of last year.
No wonder they said it was the worst Q4 in 30 years. Something needs to be done to improve people's spending power ...
