At this point, gaming hardware can be considered to be an appreciating asset.

That is an outdated mindset. If a Playstation launcher will allow for cross buy and cross save between console and PC, then I am sure many will tolerate it's existence as long as Sony doesn't require a ps plus subscription for online play. Although it can be argued that PC gamers who game primarily on Playstation may accept it as a compromise.

The review made some good points about what they didn't like about the game.

I can see why it is rated a 6 out of 10, given that some of those problems would cause some people to uninstall the game.

PC players should avoid pirating the game out of principle. The game looks like a lot of work went into creating it, and I am going to assume that if you have a PC that is capable of running the game, it is likely that you are earning an income.

I believe it is unreasonable to publish an article with a point of view as if you understand what DLSS 5 is doing and its limitations. It would be better to publish a piece discussing the sentiment the broader community has towards the first impression, rather than assuming you know what is happening.

We will get more details on this later on when Nvidia is ready to share.

Alex from DF noticed that DLSS 5 improves the image lighting significantly in close...

@isarai_lee You have it completely wrong, and you are parroting a talking point that you cannot prove about DF's ethics.

All those demos shown were signed off by the developers and publishers of each respective studio. Nvidia didn't go out of their way to say, "Let me fix your art." They worked closely with Capcom, Bethesda, Avalanche Studio, Obsidian, and EA to bring you that demo of DLSS 5, since they can't use other people's IP to promote their ...

It likely won't because it is a boring game.

Xbox and PC players have been saying this for years so surely PS5 gamers will get the memo.

While everyone is free to do whatever they want, in my opinion, unsubscribing from Digital Foundery over this is stupid. They have always provided positive coverage to new technology in video games and infact, they were one of the only places that produced positive coverage for the PS5 Pro when many gamers were hating on it. They also mentioned the negative aspects of DLSS 5 in their video. That is how we all know this demo was being ran on 2 5090s.

I see all the negative reactions to this tech, and in my opinion, I think most people hate it because their favorite YouTuber said to hate it.

I've seen AI reimagined pictures of games on YouTube for years, and nearly every comment is positive. Yet, when Nvidia finally implements it, it is now "AI slop."

I can understand if this were a mandatory feature that you must turn on, but it isn't. I can understand being upset that some character...

They are trying to find their own Niche, just like Nintendo. The Gamecube and WiiU did much worst than the series consoles. Infact, the WiiU did so poorly, it lost 3rd party support before Nintendo turned things around with the Switch.

We as gamers should look at this with an open mind as Xbox is now under new leadership and trying to follow a new path.

I am sure it would be appreciated if executed properly.

Right now it is difficult to launch games from other launchers outside of Steam Big Picture mode. If you want to play something from Epic or GOG, Battlenet etc, you would have to exit steam. This is why hardly anyone has tried using their PC as a console in the living room.

With the Xbox launcher, you Will likely be able to launch games from multiple launchers without having to exit the app.

If you see yourself getting a next generation console, you can try setting money aside for it from now. This can be either for the new Playstation or Xbox PC console because it seems both may be releasing sometime in 2028.

Hopefully the ram supply issue will be cleared up by then.

If you have an RTX 5090 PC, I am not sure why you would bother with console gaming.

If you are still gaming on consoles, then exclusive games are likely not the main reason because the last major PlayStation exclusive launched in October 2025. It would mean your PS5 was powered off this whole time.

You likely see value in console gaming because of the convenience of gaming on a couch in front of your TV. It is also more likely that friends you meet in the...

I will give Xbox the benefit of the doubt this time given they are under new leadership and be on the lookout for more news on Project helix.

As someone who owns a Series X and PS5, if you only own a series X, you will not be hurting for games because the exclusive release cadence on playstation is slow this generation. At most you will have to put up with the timed 3rd party exclusives the playstation gets for the biggest games. I think part of the problem was with Phil S...

I don't think the live service push has anything to do with Sony's arrogance. At the time when those live service projects got greenlit, live service games were seeing an exponential growth year over year and every executive was saying single player AAA games were unsustainable. This is because a flop could mean the end of the line for a studio and they were all seeing those Fortnite dollars they are missing out on.

If anything we can say it is GREED not arrogance ...

They will make money from selling the games they publish. Just like everybody else who publishes games on steam or any other storefront.

Why call it vaporware when AMD's CEO has come out and leaked the release window a month ago. Xbox new CEO also has presentations setup at GDC next week where she will talk more on the console.

Microsoft entered the PC hardware business from back in 2012 with their surface line of laptops.

I am going to proceed with caution on this because they say it will play PC games, but how do we know they mean all storefronts, including Steam, will be available, or if they will restrict gamers to the Windows Store?

I am eagerly awaiting more information about this console.

That is the open world segment of the game. While I do wish they would show something more exciting, it seems they are trying not to spoil any of the in game events so they chose a remote area in this game.
