I'm stoked we are getting all these series, I really think shows like The Witcher proved game adaptations can work (cannot explain how bummed out I am HC isn't returning for the next season).
That said does anyone else feel if any of these shows will be THE game show to watch - not in terms of what is your favourite game but in terms of quality - it will be The Last of Us? HBO have hit after hit over the years: The Wire, Sopranos, Band of Brothers, Game of Thrones, ...
Up next on the latest episode of "Phil Spencer Talks S**t".
I agree 💯 but understand why being able to put "Game of the Year - Whoever" makes a game jump out more on the shelf and help sell it to a gamer who might just buy the odd title; love a fellow gamer-gamer, but I recognise most of our kind only play a few games through a year.
Absolutely awesome!
Oddworld, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil trilogy, Tombi, G-Darius, CTR, Fighting Force, Spyro, FFVII, Psychon, Soul Blade, Pushy II. I feel privileged I got to grow up in the PSX generation.
Yes. The majority of games are still coming out on both. You can support PS4 and XBO with 3rd party titles but these new 1st party games should by now be current gen only (it's no longer new, it's been two years!)
PS5/SX/SS have admittedly improved some last gen games in phenomenal ways but when I'm still buying mainly last gen games to play on a more recent console something is out of whack.
I enjoyed it greatly but, licencing aside, PlayStation AllStars without Crash, Abe and Spyro made me sad.
Sonic rarely 3D right whilst 2D tends to pull fans right back in. When will they learn to leave these 3D worlds alone.
Curious too as I can't think of one main 3D Mario game that was anything but great. Sunshine is the one people might point to but I still thought that was fantastic.
There's something about nostalgia and how those consoles (PS1, PS2, N64, possibly Dreamcast) left such a lasting impression on many at-the-time young gamers that makes them hard to surpass, regardless of the technologies available nowadays.
Popping in Metal Gear Solid 2, Max Payne or GTA Vice City on the PS2 brings back feelings never truly surpassed; the games and experiences are better now but they can't beat childhood wonder at what you are playing.
...
Oh man I wish, but given how animations change from 1st person gameplay to 3rd person photo mode I don't think it's possible - at least, not without a serious amount of work.
Even so I enjoy driving bikes in 3rd person to get a better look at V. We can dream, right?
Brilliant 😂
In the UK Xbox states "best selling franchise on Xbox" and PlayStation states "best selling franchise on PlayStation". This is just a typo, there's no conspiracy here.
I don't care what anyone says, I absolutely love this game. I loved it when it was flawed and locked me out of a quest, I loved it when it began to get patched and got the next gen update it should have always had, and I love it now.
@jambola ahhh my bad! They made Observer though, that had some f****d up imagery so maybe they'll do good with it. I'm about to start The Medium too, that caught my eye a while back but not sure what it's even about.
Yeah and Christophe Gans directed the original and the upcoming one. BluePoint also have a pretty impressive track record so far, I'd argue, although I agree I am not willing to say "Konami is back" until I see these games a little further down the line in development.
I know right! That and Tombi 2 were 👌 I remember my dad getting it for my brother and I but we weren't allowed it until after we had completed our homework 😑
Sadly if David Hayter can be replaced, anyone can.
Man those old demo disks introduced me to Tombi, Oddworld, Ninja: Shadow of Darkness, G-Darius (which took me 15 years to eventually re-discover its name) and best of all, Psychon. Games are definitely improved now but not everything is better.
Net Yaroze... I wonder what happened to it.
Eh at this point those who enjoy it, enjoy it. Those who don't, don't. I enjoyed the vanilla version using backwards compatibility, and I've had a blast on the next gen one too.
It's still shocking the state in which it was released, and maybe for PS4/ Xbox One gamers it still is, but at this point these articles are just easy click bait for a mug like me.
I enjoyed it don't get me wrong, but the Herogasm story in The Boys was nowhere near as graphic as I was expecting. Termite jumping down that guys urethra though... 👀
