Always bitter, always dirty.

If you'ree refering to it being uprooted from realism then I get where you are coming from. Tom Clancy titles typically have that gritty tone where you can almost imagine it happening somewhere. This not so much, though it may still be entertaining.

Did this need it's own article?

I loved those original two games, and Stranger's. I was so hoping Soulstorm would be a return to true form, and it sort of is. Fantastic graphics, great locations (although missed seeming the nature aspects, Scrabs/ Paramites/ Fleeches etc). The biggest problem was that it was just far too long, half the length would've been fantastic.

That said, I'm greatful new Oddworld games exists at all, and JAW and OI have certainly tried to bring their original vision to ...

Having been PlayStation most of my life I thought I'd get a Series S the other day to compliment the PS5 and Switch. Really enjoying it, Game Pass is fantastic!

Considering who his son is, it should absolutely be Atreus.

I don't know why people care so much. We don't profit from it, only Microsoft and Sony do. 🤷‍♂️ Still Sony through and through myself but certainly don't oppose any gamer, regardless of platform.

What games are there for the Xbox at the moment that are great? (Not a slight, I don't read up on XSX often) Game Pass seems great to be fair, benefits to both I'm sure.

Couldn't agree more, my friend. Playing old SNES and PS1 classics, and the odd N64 title, brings back happy memories.

Modern games can be exceptional, there's so many great, epic games nowadays. But they are more like experiences. The old way of gaming is mostly a thing of the past now.

That was always so messed up playing those machines as a kid. My mam used to have a knack for getting them somehow, even when the machine wouldn't play ball, but I sure didn't inherited that trait. I lose all the time on them!

I remember Hard Boiled coming out and slow motion bullet time being the new thing. Then Max Payne came out and perfectly transferred it into video game form, only for Strangehold to ironically copy Remedy in return for the game sequel.

Anyone else feel old gen gaming nostalgia just can't be beat?

Haha reminds me of the "Sega does what Nintendon't" ads in the 90s!

Couldn't agree more. Watched the latest State of Play footage yesterday and man, it looks like Dishonored x Returnal. It could be very fun, but I'm unsure if it'll have that wow factor you mentioned.

Very intrigued by this.

Rayman, Crash, Spyro or Abe would all be just wonderful. Unsure if would even be possible to gain the licensing, but hey - they did it for Snake years ago!

Considering the gang literally walk through limitation wall of the original storyline's and into an unknown future, they can use anyone they want going forward. Interested to see where it all goes though!

More fixes, no new content.

I'm with you buddy, COVID really just sped up the process but Sony seems to have put less effort in the final few years of attending. With State of Play every few months and a never-ending stream of new gaming info, it's no loss to this gamer 👍

They're not committing to PS5, and with the stock issues I understand why, but it's still ridiculous. Tshushima and Last of Us Part II showed that the results of these upcoming cross-gen will probably still be amazing, but imagine what a game like GoW:R would be like if it was an actual next gen game.

It's possible but I get the feeling they remastered the ME trilogy in order to have available game saves lead into a potential 4th Shepherd game. Time will tell.
