Games are one of the ways I still get amazed at how fast life is flying by (well that, plus the fact I now have my own kid). I don't understand how it's been 20 years! How!? 🤯 For a while I had to settle on playing this at my mates. Then finally - and I still remember the feeling like it was yesterday - my brother and I got our first PS2 for Christmas, along with MGS2, Code Veronica X, GTA III and Vice City. The excitement of picking out what games we wanted, then that childli...

Rockstar were known for the highest quality though. This is the first time they have utterly bombed, I wonder how much this will affect their reputation going forward. I know they outsourced development on the trilogy but their name is still plastered all over this.

It's also a way to trip your mates out when they're high. Many a time my good friends would try and freak me by asking if I could see the little green army men climbing on the table coming to get me. Not everything has just a single meaning.

That said when I read this I expected "little green man" to be a skin similar to Toy Story's sarge. Shame, that would've been amusing.

You can make some of the people happy all of the time, all of the people happy some of the time, but you can't make all of the people happy all of the time.

Haha I remember the ridiculous RC helicopter missions driving me crazy on Vice City.

So many people won't ever experience that in VR and it's the only true way in my opinion. It's utterly emersive and doesn't rely on you moving around or anything. Plus that poker game was utterly terrifying.

I have a childhood soft spot for the earlier SvR games too but they're not wrong, HctP was the top of the PlayStation wrestling titles whilst No Mercy was right up there on N64.

Ahhh @whitbyfox a bit too much green smoked that day it seemed, yes obviously you must be right. My bad 😅

Stream. There is an app, for lack of a better term, for each of the Nintendo retro series, i.e. one for NES, one for SNES, one for N64 etc :)

Shame because Undead Nightmare was one of the best DLC I ever played.

Both were surprise hits for me, didn't look into either much before release, loved both of them. Deathloop was less frustrating, Returnal was probably the better experience, both were outstanding though.

The Last of Us 1. Not necessarily unique in concept but executed to perfection.

Ninja Theory are such a f'ing good team. Feel so lucky to have the sheer quantity of fantastic games across all these platforms to kick back and enjoy.

Nothing wrong with this portrayal. Anyone claiming otherwise either has never read any Norse mythology - which often contradicts itself - or is going off Marvel's Thor.

Hitman never strikes me as particular violent, there are some OTT executions but rarely that much blood. Otherwise I completely agree, and expect it to be basically 00Hitman. Looking forward to finding out more.

Hello Games released it to a tonne of criticism (probably deserved), went silent for a long time, and have spent the past 5+ years turning it into something far more refined. Always nice to hear of a reasonably small team managing to turn failures into success.

I don't often hear much about it but the fact it was also a complete VR game as well is just crazy.

Yeah it sure sucks a bit to feel like your just getting slightly enhanced ports of PS4/XB1 titles after investing in the new systems, some exceptions obviously being the exclusives. I'm sure I recall a Sony interview where they said the wouldn't do that as well. 🤷‍♂️
