They don't need it. Sony have been making quality first party, in house games for years.
Yup. It pisses me off. It's why these small indie studios with a few guys or girls who pour their heart and soul into a project and end up successful make me so happy. No backstabbing, no politics, no dickheads acting like they solo'd a project that alone would be nothing more than a fantasy in their head.
Big studios make some great games but it's so sad how people get treated.

When they said Chalice is a new character I thought "reskin" but nope, it's like a separate play style - the game operates differently as her, easier in most ways to be honest so whether that's good or bad is up to you. The bosses are absolutely 👌 Some great little secrets too.
Delicious Last Course, it's not even debatable. Those guys and girls cared about what they made, it's clear in every frame of hand drawn animation. Whether I "win" or die, I always notice something new. The attention to detail is phenomenal, and the additional content so well integrated that playing Isles 1-3 plus Hell without a trip to Saltbaker's bakery no longer feels like the full game.
Yeah I couldn't agree more. I will never support homophobic, sexist and genocidal governments and it blows my mind that (for example) a "family" business like WWE is going to be potentially sold to them. The second that becomes a reality I'll close my childhood wrestling book for sure.

I got the PS5 at release and it's definitely my main console, the Switch is probably the second most played because of my daughter - even though it's a last gen device - and then treated myself to a Series S when the missus forced me to sell my Street Fighter arcade machine 😭
For a while I really didn't play much on Xbox; not a knock on it, but I didn't feel like playing through Halo games again and the new one needed improvements. Forza was amazing...
Sad though isn't it, it had all the genetic makeup needed to be L4D3 - but, as you said, something felt off. Plus I hated that card system. It overcomplicated a great formula.
Those "I'm going to to bed early" nights are fantastic and fine by me - a bit of quality gaming is always appreciated once the missus and kid are asleep!

I got the Premium membership and, whilst I love the essential games each month, nothing has so far jumped out that justified the extra money asked if us for the top tier.
I don't understand why this is even an issue. There are separate consoles so we can have separate games. Final Fantasy didn't come to Xbox until many years as a Nintendo exclusive, followed by many years as a PlayStation one. There is no point to multiple consoles if they all have the same games.
That makes me feel so old.
