That’s true, but it has nothing to do with the series’ downward spiral since.

Who the hell buys two consoles, plugs them up to two separate TV’s, and plays both at the same time to find differences you have to us 4/6x zoom to see? And no. You play games like CoD with others who enjoy them, ie what console your online friends play on,

Nah. I’ll take a real next gen console that has games, ie the PS5. Xbox is pretty much dead at this point, outside of the refugee fanboy camps. Sony has no reason to compete with such sub par trash.

@Maybelovehate, I remember when Xbox fans were saying Blu Ray was irrelevant, since it offered no benefits to gaming (even though it actually did). Why all of the sudden is UHD a necessity when it literally does offer nothing to gaming?

Majority of console sales from here on out will still be the base hardware. Maybe 20% will be upgrade consoles. The base hardware is still very much relevant.

I think that’s PC’s biggest problem, though; all these publishers want to make money through their own services, instead of just having one unified network like PSN or XBL. Thankfully most services on PC are free, but it still means things like game progress and achievements are done through different services, which is still pretty annoying. God forbid each one starts charging, then PC gaming would be really screwed.

They didn’t even create that. Nintendo has been doing it with their portables since the beginning, while consoles like PS2, PS3, Wii, and Wii U were fully backwards compatible. BC is not some crazy new feature; MS is just overhyping it and using the re-marketing of old games as a means to hide the fact that their future has next to nothing new, while the few new things they have in the pipeline are either garbage or shovelware games you’ll play for a couple hours, get bored, and go back to so...

The funny part is I didn’t even mention Sony; I simply pointing out his lie. Careful; Your insecurities as a Xbox fanboy are showing lol

The industry needs exclusives because the industry needs multiple platforms because the industry needs healthy competition, so that we the consumer do not get totally screwed over. One can argue that everything being multiplat could still support multiple consoles, but something has to be exclusive so that these companies don’t get the brilliant idea to just team up, make one platform, and charge an arm and a leg for games and services because there’s no other alternative. Since these are GAM...

Because who buys a console to actually play the games? You’re supposed to buy it to stare at the slightly sharper dirt textures on the ground! Amiright?

Yeah, because Crackdown, SoD2, Cuphead, Sea of Thieves, and Ashen we’re all just announced this year. Oh wait...

Oh yeah. *cough* Scalebound *cough cough*

So can you explain how PS4 has had more games, than Xbone, in its library since Day 1? Numbers don’t lie, and it’s been an established fact that PS4 has had more. Just because you conveniently choose to ignore that fact or say “well those games aren’t relevant to me”, doesn’t change that it’s a fact.

A console brand doesn’t go on to sell 400 million units, and counting, on just sheer dumb luck. PlayStation has been a success because it’s long since proven itself to be the best console platform for the core gamer. That’s a fact.

Death, I’m going to assume you’re using the BS attach ratio logic, and yes it’s total BS. Not everyone who buys a console will be buying it to play all of its software. Different people buy a gaming device for different reasons, i.e. different games. Not everyone who buys Horizon is going to also buy Persona or Uncharted; in fact, very few people actually do that. That’s why Playstation has always had mass appeal; because they actual options. Sony doesn’t look at certain genres and think “oh ...

Exclusives alone don’t sell sell consoles. Multiplats alone don’t sell consoles. A console has to have a healthy balance of quality games from both sides, to max out consumer intersts. A console should have something for everyone. If Steamboxes showed us anything, it’s that putting out powerful hardware means a lot less if all the games can be played on PC’s that will always be more powerful. MS has it wrong.

Hmm... just checked my briefcase of f*cks to give about this, and it’s still empty. Xbox cheerleaders waited 4 years for half decent hardware; I can wait a few more for PS5, an actual next gen console that will actually have exclusive games that aren’t shovelware trash.

While I’m sure you, with your totally unique and useful Bachelors in the Fine Arts, are the perfect person to educate us Neanderthals on what exactly people would look and act like in a sci-Fi fantasy post-apocalyptic world, that is partially run by mechanical dinosaurs, I’m gonna have to stop you right there and make this one thing clear: No. People like you are the reason gaming reviews suck. Nobody who has a shred of humility, and isn’t a total narcissist, buys video games to be themselves...

The only time Xbox was ever “in the lead” was the first couple years of 360, right before Wii stormed passed it. If Sony hadn’t dropped the ball with the cell processor and overpricing the hell out of PS3, it would’ve taken a lot less time to surpass 360.

And no. Having slightly better hardware is only significant when it’s the only option for that console brand. There’s a Xbone model for half the price that plays all the same games, and that model can’t even hold a candle ...
