DR3 looks to be the only launch exclusive for X1 I would be interested in.
Some gamers don't realize but one of the reasons the 360 is in such a drought (one exclusive so far this year)is because MS has so few studios making exclusive titles that they had to switch both Ryse and Dead Rising 3 from 360 to be exclusive X1 titles and have something for launch.
Major Nelson created alot of confusion around E3 and it looks like he is at it again at PAX. When is MS going to let this guy go and bring someone else in, I think he has been at it long enough.
OK well that is good and even though I am not going to buy a Wii U just to play Bayonetta 2, I do enjoy this developers games like Bayonetta 1, Vanquish, and MSR and would like to see them continue making games. Having unsuccessful games is the fastest way to shut your doors.
Wouldn't it be cool if the GOW team and Santa Monica is secretly making HS2? They could really do wonders for the game and turn it into a franchise, Heavenly Sword should have enough cult following to be successful with a next gen version.
I agree and I am looking forward to them correcting my main grips about the game, the camera and framerate. This and Dead Souls 2 are the last two games I am getting for the current gen. I have stopped buying current gen games cause I have the new consoles preordered. From the article it sounds like they were to far into developement to start up a PS4 and X1 version. Would have been nice though.
I think Platinum Games will need to go back to multiplatform after Bayonetta 2. Wonderful 101 recently came out in Japan and only sold 10,000 units first week and that is the kind of game that should be very successful there, but instead its a huge flop.
All exclusivity bragging rights aside, Bayonetta 2 will have little to no success on Wii U because its fans game on 360 or PS3.
Is this a summer of arcade title on 360?
They need to launch by 11/22, if they wait to Black Friday the X1 will get lost in the shopping craze of that weekend, especially with few if any consoles on shelves.

IT depends on what your paying for. MS gets shunned because they pay out the wazoo for timed exclusive content. For example 50 million to Rockstar for the two GTA4 DLC's for a year exclusivity. It's a nice PR move in the end that money could have made one or two AAA exclusives our even a new franchise.
It's how the money is spent and on what type of exclusives.
Not only will it be a great game because HouseMArque are outstanding developers but it looks to be a great tech demo showing off the power of the PS4. I can't wait.
Wonder what will be X1's tech demo style game that will show off its power? Geo Wars was great but I haven't seen a game really pushing particles and game geometry all over the place for the X1.

I played a crap ton of Super Stardust and Dead NAtion and I am really looking forward to Resogun but my most anticipated PS4 game so far is Infamous SS. I love that series.
I enjoyed KZ2 as it reaaly pushed the PS3 at the time and the multiplayer was unexpectedly addictive. KZ3 I was disappointed and the changes to the multiplayer were a regression. From what I have seen of KZ Shadowfall it looks like a reboot. Gone is the grey and brown drab colors and limited maps and in with more colorful and open gameplay. It also seems that GG really opened up the multiplayer with lots of options this time. It is the in thing to do to rag on KZ and it has be a whipping...
The whole all digital I think is overblown because neither PS4 or X1 appear to have a large enough harddrive to be digital platforms.
I am a big fan of open world games like Crackdown 1 & 2, Prototype 1 & 2, Infamous series, etc. I am looking forward to the new Infamous. I hope we see a Crackdown 3 and I am bummed Craptovision closed Radical cause I would have really enjoyed a Prototype 3. I believe open world games are going to benefit the most from the new consoles cause there just wasn't enough RAM or processing power to really do them justice. I am excited for the future of next gen open world games.

They do a good job with open world games especially Just Cause 2, MAd MAx has alot of potential.
That is good in theory but X1 will be in very short supply and/or not available for many months after launch. A console not available isn't going to significantly stop preorders on another console launching a week later in greater supply.
Just a reminder to all gamers, don't wish for the demise of X1 or MS getting out of the console business because if we are left with only Playstation we might not like what we get. The whole reason PS4 looks so good is because MS did well with 360 and Sony lost followers, which taught them a lesson. We need competition in the market.
