With that size chip I sure hope Launch X1's don't melt down like 360's did. I got burned by MS on that one, so I may wait 6 months and see if X1 starts having trouble in the wild. Is that a good plan? It does cost 500 bones so a melt down this time would really tick me off.

The good thing about waiting for a possible PS4 version is most of the DLC will be out by then and should be packed into the PS4, that is if one comes out in a year.
The IGN article was written to trash on PS4 and x1 fans ignored the fact the BF4 spokesmen stated resolution on consoles had not been finalized. Keyword consoles, that means x1 as well.
I am disappointed that we are even having an issue with 1080p on unreleased more powerful hardware. We shouldn't seems 1080p should be standard for all games, but if it is not achievable ok and I have given this much thought...as long as games are still hd, not sub hd, but somewhere betw...
The closer we get to the launches the more I am wishing Sony and Microsoft would have waited until we could have gotten 1080p at 60fps native with all the graphical effects. I am still going to get a PS4 and maybe down the line a X1 but I was expecting more after an 8 year wait between consoles.
Microsofts promises, hey everybody lets believe Microsoft as they have proven they are honest and have our best interests in mind when it comes to X1.
I will enlighten you because it can be played on 360. The PS3 cannot run Shadowfall as it was developed from the ground up for the PS4. Titanfall has been developed for multiple systems in different generations of hardware, it isn't next gen.
It's on 360 and PC as well right? No need to drop $500 plus tax for an X1 to play one game.
Titanfall is not going to sell like COD, sorry you can dream though. COD is getting long in the tooth, agreed, but COD was loaded with content. Story mode, competitive multiplayer, spec ops missions, zombie modes, etc.
They need to show more of Titanfall, because once the newness wears off, will the content be there? That is what I want to know. We know there is no story mode so that is strike one. Will there be any co-op?
Not interested in multiplayer only games like Titanfall. More interested in innovative games that push limits like Destiny with its strong story, factions, loot, universe and worlds to explore. The drop in drop out approach to community events or to play competitively, its all there in Destiny thats where my curiosity lies.
If this is in fact true of what to expect next gen I am disappointed. We have gone thru a whole generation of mostly sub hd games (when we were promised hd) and now years and years later new more power consoles can't hit the "True HD" 1080 mark when TV makers are already eyeing 4k resolution. I am shocked, whats the point of new consoles then, we can get crappy graphics on our current consoles....no need to upgrade for that.

I keep hearing that Titanfall is X1 exclusive, but it's EA we are talking here, so I ask what was EA's last major 360 or PS3 exclusive this gen and I mean real exclusive not 6 to 12 month timed exclusivity?
I don't even need to wait that long, better graphics RAM and a 1/3 more GPU cores is all I really need to know.

Even if Carmack looked at the specs he would have seen that:
PS4 GPU has 1/3 more cores
PS4 RAM is the higher qaulity memory
and supposedly the CPU is clocked faster on the PS4
I think Carmack spoke before he knew WTH he was talking about, because we know he isn't that dumb.
It is impressive and I would guess we can thank the RAM memory and the underlining online coding they have built into the PS4.
Excuse me, but where did I say DR came out for PS3? I didn't, but a remake came out on Wii and DR versions came out on Mobile phones.

I don't want to start a rumor here, but I heard MS is having problems with the 8gb RAM in the X1. It seems the RAM type is not supporting the platform and what X1 is asking of it and MS is trying to figure out what to do. Now I was skeptical when I heard this, but after it was announced MS scaled back from 21 countries to 13 last week and now MS has not announced a firm launch date this week when everyone was looking for one, what I heard maybe true.
Why defend X1 with Titanfall and DR3? I don't get it as a fan of both brands (Xbox & PS). Lets be honest Capcom does not release true exclusives, DR3 will probably be on PS4 around next summer (looks at original DR). Titanfall will be timed exclusive as well. It is EA we are talking about here and they are all about money, I expect Titanfall on PC and PS4 next year as well. So, why would X1 fans refer to those games for some kind of bragging rights or system war fodder makes no...
I don't see how Activision and IW can honestly trot this out and say its next gen and keep a straight face.
Terrible comparison since Ryse is a heavily scripted linear game whereas, Infamous is an open world game like GTA. Infamous is more impressive because of that fact alone.
