WTF really 15 to 20 minutes. For software updates that should already be preloaded on a new system, sounds like they are screwing over those with no broadband or connection.
With a month or two gap between their policy reversals and full on unit production I see no reason patched software could not already be preloaded or have an installation disk. It just rings of revenge on those that put up a stink about the always online connection.
There are inaccuracies in the article such as still referring to PS4 as less restrictive policies when of course MS has 180 their policies so that is a non issue for NOW (I still lost their trust from the X1 reveal).
Regardless I wouldn't call it a dumb article its more an article for casuals that don't follow gaming news daily or weekly and it does spark up the debate about the new consoles power.

It can only support movies in 4k in the future. In no way does the X1 or PS4 come close to the hardware necessary for 4k game resolution.
Well in that case the system is incredibly weak if you are already making concussions and can't hit the 1080p benchmark on a console not even out yet. Whats the point? Accept such a weak console to play games on for 5 years, I say no and MS should have waited a year and got a better console together with better RAM and a better GPU.

Who care Crytek has a history of sh** gameplay and short games. Their first Far Cry and Crysis games were good everything else has been mediocre.
All talk is about graphics when the focus should be on gameplay and that is where Crytek usually drops the ball. Their last great game was the first Crysis and since then Crysis 2 and 3 have been known for their short single player and boring gameplay. Is their great gameplay shown in videos for Ryse? For me the answer is no and thats why I lost interest.

You mentioned the armor looks more realistic. One of my bigget grips about the game was that the armor always looked brand new and pristine. Did they fix that and make the armor look battered, bloody, wartorn, etc. If not then its not more realistic. I have not seen videos recently, just asking.
He may not have a grudge as much as disappointment like many feel after MS gave a giant middle finger to gamers at X1 reveal and E3. People don't forget and its going to be a long time before the bad taste goes away.

Proof is in the pudding and I feel MS is indeed worried about the Kinect 2.0 as they changed their policy from mandatory for the X1 to function to optional use. That is all the evidence I need to come to a verdict.
The kinect 2.0 will probably be a little better than the original but it is STILL not ready for prime time from a hardware prospective and that is evident by MS own loss of confidence in the product.
If anyone thinks the PS4 will be loud and X1 won't, please rethink what your saying.

The best way to get around this is like PC does it like thru Steam. Have it available for preload a few days to a week before launch so it is loading in the background, so if it takes a day to load it isn't a problem and ready to unlock on launch.
