Hey fellow gamers I got to ask you an honest question. I enjoy me some Dead Rising as much as the next gamer and I am thrilled they did away with the timer, but is anyone else as disappointed about the graphics as I am?
It just doesn't look like much of an upgrade to me in screenshots I have seen. I realize its a launch title and there are dozens to hundreds of enemies on screen but the models don't look every good to me. I expected better textures on zombies, etc...
This is a wasted opportunity as Gamescon is huge, it's Europe's E3, but Sony is the leader in Europe and their presence and Microsoft's absence just solidifies this point.
However, in all fairness they just FIRED (lets not sugar coat it, he was fired) Don Mattrick a month and a half ago and the new lady heading up Xbox is probably not ready to go out there and give a presser just yet.
popular with kids? My six year old hardly touches hers other than Kinectimals. She played some Kinect adventures a bit. I got her Once Upon a Monster and she won't touch it. She said the kinect is boring, she will be seven next month.

PS4 development started in early 2008 per M. Cerny.
X1 started development in late 2010.

Software issues from the biggest software provider in the world, ah thats a Fail excuse, besides software updates happen all the time and downloaded on the current platforms. I am not buying it and the excuse sounds stupid.
MS just does not want to look like they weren't ready for next gen even after all that has occurred since their reveal that says otherwise.
November is the "norm" for console launches is just NOT true. It was this past gen, but lets look at past history for US launch dates:
SNES - 8/23/91
Sega Saturn - 5/11/95

That is worrisome, if the Kinect is better at navigating the console than a controller then I am not looking forward to its dashboard then. I am just not a snapping kinda guy.
maybe some heating issues as well? MS are so worried they even made it so the X1 will shut down so it won't overheat and thats all well in good unless the console is constantly shutting down and you can't play. I can see it now, less meltdowns but gamers will start to complain if their systems are regularly shutting down. I have a feeling the bigger die is going to cause heating issues, just a hunch considering 360's track record.
The X1 is in shambles, MS said the started working on it in 2010. Cerny said PS4 begin in 2008. The difference can be seen. Sonys reveal in Feb caught MS off guard. So much so they announced a April reveal of their own then delayed it a month and had the worst reveal in history that nearly destroyed the Xbox brand. Next thing you know Mattrick is suddenly gone, sure he got a quick job at Zynga to make it look good, but believe me he was fired, so he went to Zynga who is in shambles thems...
If the rumored October 21st date does come true that will really catch Microsoft off guard, they are doing everything in their power to have consoles for November even decreasing the countries to launch from 21 to 13. I think Sony is in good shape and about ready. I think they are waiting on the games and if Ps4 is out in the wild before X1, then Ps4 may catch many COD players as that comes out around the 5th, I don't think X1 will be out on the 5th.
Activision will ride COD into the dirt and milk it for everything its got just like Guiter Hero, problem is as COD begins to decline they better start to get some new franchises going or they will be in trouble. Seems like Activison is betting the farm on Destiny being their big franchise for next gen. I will say I am interested in that after the E3 demo, Bungie are pretty great. But like the rest I am burnt out of COD. Bought the last one and never played it then sold it, so staying away...
You are right and not just thousands...hundreds of thousands of units, they may need close to a million at launch. If they are not ready they may have to delay, this increased mhz speed attached to the GPU would mean all the units would need the increase, so I think X1 production is not that far along and maybe they see they may not hit target dates. If they have enough units they could still launch in North America but may delay other regions.
Titanfall is a Q1 2014 launch window. DR3 and other launch exclusives are Day One, so that would be the day the console launches.
A good friend asked me a couple weeks ago if I was getting GTA5 on 360 or PS3 and I told him no and that I was waiting, because if it gets announced for PC that I figured it had a good chance of going to next gen consoles, because their set ups were PC oriented and it would be an easy port. Now with the PC version being outed, I am calling it...GTA5 will be announced for X1 and PS4 at E3 2014 for a Fall or holiday release....so I am waiting.
The Elite 360 came out about 6 months after 360 launched. My guess is a Kinectless SKU 6 months after X1 launch.
As someone stated in a very early comment with the number of 180's added it would equal 720. That is what the name should have been.

Hmm, figures everything about the X1 was a cash grab. MS thought they had some power over gamers and the industry to impose all these things, then they saw preorder numbers and realized they are powerless....gmers/consumers have the power.
Now I will either sell my Day one preorder or cancel and wait cause in 6 months a Kinectless SKU will be offered at $100 to 150 cheaper...I can wait for that while I play my PS4 Day One preorder.
Someone on my friendslist on XBL got his account hacked and credit card info taken. Once your password is figured it doesn't matter which system your on. It's not just a Sony thing, noone should provide credit card info on any console period.

I totally agree, it shows who is the hardware manaufacturer (Sony) and who is not (MS).
Some are saying Sony should not have done that and beat MS while their down and I say Why Not!?
MS has brought all this on themselves by being douches and trying to bully everyone like they do in other business segments. Look MS didn't even put on a presser at Gamecon and defend themselves.
