gaming laptops are just defeating the purpose. they need to be at least 17" and have decent sound, right? i have a 17" and it's great, but there are times when i curse how heavy it is (a good 8 lbs). a gaming desktop would better suit people out there. plus proprietary parts restrict you from ever making good on one of technologies greatest features: upgrading.

Nomura makes both xiii and versus. however, squareenix may just be taking one or the other off his hands to help get it out sooner. they're both running off of the same engine, so maybe they might have different divisions in charge of each game. but it's still nomura who's in charge. the decision to release it on x360 was made by wada, but nomura has actually accepted it. it's just a job. if they can get this game into the hands of more owners, they get can make back their initial investments...

x360 is a different matter altogether, and they've actually done what you've basically prescribed. Rrod is now much less prevalent than before (if it ever truly WAS).
Apple's marketing directive was to make Mac synonymous with cool and PC synonymous with boring. Microsoft had struggled with that for the next 3 years until recently fighting back with their response to being labeled uncool. It should be of note that it's not Microsoft's job to defend "PCs", as they are made by various manufacturers and companies.

I am with you there man. KillZone 2 will break some ground, but the market for shooters is so over saturated. The best ones stand out, while the rest...you can hardly tell the diff when you popped in another game. Not insulting KillZone AT ALL. Just saying that I really am looking forward to Alan Wake.

Simple. Wii has only 1 config and wasn't meant to take on the HD era. Wii made its success through innovation of a different type, in a different direction altogether. Price is STILL a concern. What if Wii cost as much as a PS3? Would people still have bought it?
