Mass Effect definitely has drama covered. There's that moment where you have to decide whether or not to kill off the remaining members of an alien race that was hunted to extinction and only existed as a race of killing machines. You had the fate of their future TRULY in your hands. The cameras, the lighting, and the dialogue for that segment go way beyond anything else I've ever seen.
Halo3...made me cry. Seriously, there's just NO WAY to tolerate Legendary. The AI will PUNISH YOU. And you WILL CRY.
About gaming moments, I think only one game ever me cry, but I do think that we give far too much credit to FF7. Sure, Sephiroth killed Aerith, so he was a marked man (I waited until I had EVERYTHING mastered before delivering a very satisfying end to him). But Rinoa drifting in space as she lost her air support was equally (if not more) heart wrenching.
If you mean screen tearing, I think it's the Unlock Framerate option in the options menu.
I think it's great that 2K released Bioshock on PS3 as well. It would be hard to imagine never having played this awesome game. And good job 2K, for tending to the issue promptly. You just saved yourselves from the criticisms of people who would have not bought it.
You want the old Square? Buy games from Mystwalker. Oh wait...they don't make games for PS3. So now we have to hate them;)
Blue Dragon is one truly awesome jRPG. And Lost Odyssey has FF blood running through its veins.
I think it's Squeenix's ego that has made them this way. But can you blame them? They used to have friggin holidays in Japan for the release of an FF. Fanboys worshiped them. And people everywhere thought that they were Gods for having created the FF s...
Yeah, but you don't seem to grasp the concept.
Those extra features may not be wanted. You're assuming that in OFFERING those extras they will be WANTED. It's up to everyone to decide for themselves what they want. Just because I hear people saying "yeah man, get the PS3 it's got bluray" doesn't mean that I want it myself.
You could be the gamer who games on a budget. x360 Premium is available @ $259 (while in supply). You'll get the 20GB HDD. When that goe...
It's pretty far in the game now. x360 has solidified its position in this gen and that right there was NO easy task. They could've just sat this one out, but they pressed onward. 3 years and they've done solid work.
...might be the best opportunity to get a PS3. But that's quite a price tag. The 80GB is the best all around. Unless you count the launch 60GB.
$199 for an HD Gaming console is a sweet deal. $299 for the bigger package is great. BestBuy still sells the 20GB model, which is now $259.

Take your pick, and have a wii on the side!
It's a respectable achievement. Making computers affordable for everyone. Now, do the people who buy these PCs care for graphics? They probably don't. They also probably don't want bluetooth or high def movies or any of those snazzy extras.
Affordable = good for business.
All it means is that technology can reach more people.
Have you played Gears? Do you even own an x360? It's not like you can just judge a game by its screens. And whether or not it's comparable to MGS4 is your own preference. I believe Gears is a really awesome game.
Pure was phenomenal. I can't believe people don't think Pure deserved it's rating. Motorstorm got a good rating too. Not every game can be a 9, and an 8.3 is nothing to laugh at.
i was once on that conveyor belt of life known as the educational system. it was designed to produce the next great leaders and future businessmen of the nation.
i cry sometimes that i couldn't make it to college (parents ending up needing MY help). but this is the worst advice to tell anyone. GO FOR IT. get that degree. you'll be all the more fulfilled knowing that you achieved one of the highest and most respected honors a person can get.
the one thing i will say t...
KillZone2 looks nothing short of spectacular, but it's not compatible with Gears. 1stPS vs 3rdPS. And how can neocrisis even try to compare the two, as they don't even own an x360 to make a REAL comparison for themselves. They just jacked some already released screenshots from somewhere else on the web. Real comparisons start with YOUR OWN CONSOLE, viewed with YOUR OWN EYES.
And you can't compare games if they're not even available for purchase yet!
Then learn to speak it. Microsoft isn't the only company that wants to make money off its online service.
bonehead question: how do turn it off? i'd probably find it myself but with my previous experience i dont even try to open up its menu anymore:(
Yeah, I accidentally signed up with month to month thinking it really MEANT one month at a time WHEN I WANTED TO (meaning it reverts to Silver for one month and then Gold when I pay). Nope, it just starts taking 7.99 every month and DOESN'T let you cancel. At that point I had to use the full 12 month option to get it back under control. That was like 2006 or Jan 2007. Now I just use the cards.
I remember that old GB cartoon on UPN. It was actually pretty cool.
Gaming notebook PCs are just pointless. They're overpriced and usually aren't competitive with similarly priced desktops. I should know, as last year I bought this one that I'm using for $1500. I was psyched to know that it had an nVidia GPU, but after dug into the system found out it was an 8600m GS. It would have been alright if it was a GT, since that would've meant 32 stream processors instead of 16.
Moral of the story: it still would've meant beans compared to my sweat Pheno...
Yes, but you have not mentioned a SINGLE kind word of Mystwalker, who by all your logic PERFECTLY describe a Squaresoft from long ago. They remain exclusive to one (1) console. Only, now that they've sided with Microsoft you dislike them.
And Sony owes a large debt to Square for having made that decision to switch over to PlayStation for FF7. Something that Sony fans now completely ignore.
