If you have both consoles you'll be getting the one that looks best. But if you're like most people who have one console or the other just pick it up for the machine you've got! If it's a good game underneath then don't let fanboys ruin it for you. All it means is that next gen can't come any sooner!
get easybcd and enable PAE for vista 32bit with 4GB memory, it should how you over until you get 64bit. which i wouldn't advise anyway, just stick with what you have.
also, the results for this test were really lacking. i wouldn't stress components past their rated speeds and timings just for maybe 2-5 fps more.
Auto downloads? Really? Just find the game and download it yourself. That's not even anywhere near my top 10 features for Xbox Live anyway.

I never had issues with Vista, actually I might go as far as to say that it was a welcome change. But the experience I got from UPGRADING to it wasn't all that great. nVidia didn't have any Vista compatible nForce2 drivers back then (and still doesn't) so it became unintuitive to replace my fully functional and still completely operational xp install.

It may just happen. Sony cant ignore the money MS is making off it's premiere Gold Xbox Live service, and because of the money coming in XBL provides its users with the best. This is where we agree. Even Vista Home Premium, for how revolutionary it really is shouldn't be just one of the pack. How can you tout new features like full drive encryption or media center and then make versions of your OS that DON'T have it.

RRoD has been painted way out of proportion. 20 million plus Xbox 360 owners, 14 million plus Live subscribers, and growing. I've had mine since May 2006, until just last month when I retired it to my cousin and bought the new 60GB version. I didn't have HDMI. I didn't have Bluray. I didn't have wi-fi. Once that idea stuck many people couldn't see past it and realize that there's way more to Gears 2 than you guys have made it out to be. Sure maybe it doesn't look vastly different but that's just their artistic preference. Something everyone should appreciate, since they could've made an extremely generic and played out shooter.
