So anyway I'm glad to see that someone out there gets it. PS3 is not superior to Xbox 360 save in only one category and that's storage. All PS3s came with even the smallest HDD option (that old 20GB), and they all read BD ROM. So games can be made on a single disc, and developers can count on there being hard disk space to expand onto.
But storage space alone does not make a better game, thin...
XBL will never be $100 a year...they know the consumer is already having a hard time with the other important things in life and having XBL at $50 right now isn't so much a big deal.
Let me say this now though, if Microsoft DOES go that route they'll be losing the respect of several gamers out there, including me.

The correct answer is no, neither console is holding the other back. Literally there's nothing either console could do to actually "hold" the progress of the other.

Definitely The Darkness. The story is just incredible, one very distinctively disturbing plot after another. And of course those powers...lol, man what a great game.

Actions speak louder than words...go out there and buy 1,000,000 copies of the game and you're world will be whole again :D Until then, only those who care for Uncharted 2 will buy it...yes, that's right, in spite of all the superb reviews if I "ME" AKA the GAMER do NOT buy, the game does NOT SELL!
Actually, lol, one guy and his 99 accounts here on n4g was going to go out and buy 99 copies and 99 ps3s and sign into PSN on each of those PS3s with 99 PSN IDs and have them play...after his mom picks him up from school and helps him do his homework.
Sales matters because what do you think gamers are to these corporations...we are CONSUMERS. The more of us that BUY the game the better the company can succeed. If sales didn't matter then they'd be making these games for $29.99 instead of $59.99. If sales didn't matter then they wouldn't have prelaunch events, E3 trailers, magazine reviews, or even advertising. It's all geared to generate hype, which increases sales.

It's hard for any gamer to invest in 2 consoles, most of the mainstream consumers will have to chose one or the other. I see PS3 Slim as a very good option and I'm happy that I didn't buy a PS3 at launch. And I know several gamers out there who'd love to own a PS3 but didn't get one because of the price.
Well this year several of them are going to buy PS3!
PS3 fanboys are giving the excuse that because EA owns Bioware Mass Effect will be ported to PS3. They have a valid point since it's held true for several other former PlayStation/PS2/PS3 exclusives like Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto, and Devil May Cry.
If Bioware does have plans to make Mass Effect multiplatform then I support them. It's a great game and seriously it doesn't cause me any harm as a gamer to see it go to PS3.

A game like Halo 3 for instance, people bashed it as not being graphically intense. As always such views are merely subjective, what looks inferior to you may not be inferior at all.
And really if you took the time to look deeply you'd find some amazing things going on in Halo 3. It's a very solid game...but PS3 fanboys already gave it a bad rep.
As far as obsolescence is concerned, PS3's RSX is about the single most age advanced component out of either console, standard shader array gpu from 2005 with 24 pixel and 8 vertex shaders. Xenos has 3 16 pipeline shader arrays in a 48 way dual parallel unified shader core, plus 192 additional pixel processors provided by the 10MB of eDRAM "intelligent memory".

I actually have no doubts that Kojima already has something awesome in mind for Xbox 360 gamers.
I'd say that Kojima's done with PS3, and is setting his sights on better technology. His recent displays of interest with Natal probably means whatever he works on from here on out won't be coming to PS3.
Oh well, PS3 fanboys can continue living in 2008 if they'd like. Or 2005 I should say, lol.
