Yep, Mass Effect is going strong. It's a great new ip and it has a damn good story.
The Mass Effect trilogy is still exclusive to Xbox 360 and PC. But if it manages to go to PS3 expect that they'd have to work on getting the original ported over.
So it's not impossible, just not all that probable.
Flop.
This is how I see it so far.
Forza MS 3
Grid
Chocobo Racing
GT 5
ShadowFlare thinks he's right.
Greywulf thinks he's right.
Both wrong, Uncharted Drake's Fortune uses CG movies for its cinemas. Check the first 10 minutes video I linked, you'll see the differences. The cinema that plays has no problem loading textures, but the actual gameplay right after (when you start playing) does. You'll see texture pop in and the models are much lower detailed than the ones used in the cinemas.
God...hungry is the word, yep!
Darn it, gotta have money for the good games this year.
Wulf, I can list several games.
Bioshock is one that comes to mind, it really pushed detail for its time and even had an option to disable vsync so that you could play in the highest FPS. So it has graphics, and it's an FPS...easy formula right? Not exactly...because that's where 2K just throws the book out. Plasmids? Splicers?? 50's theme??? Just for being that unique you'd think it'd just hit the bargain bin...but it didn't. Bioshock is something else.
Mass Effect ...
KillZone 2's graphics are okay, Uncharted's graphics are great...but the cinemas aren't realtime. They were CG movies.
Here's naughtydog saying it themselves.

That's cinema. Realtime saved as a video file.
The consumer is actually to blame here, there's a lot of criticism that Vista got when it came out and all Microsoft did was try to respond to those criticisms before Windows became a lost cause....
...gosh, you don't think GT5 would fit that description? It's taking 5 years as well!
edit at below:
Nope, they're different models. Beyond3D.
Greywolf, Uncharted 1's cinemas weren't even realtime and the model you actually played as was cut down severely from that of the cinematics.
Alan Wake beats Uncharted in scale AND graphics very easy. It runs on the new X Engine, with which developers are now able to use Xenos' full capabilities. They kept certain features locked in their previous DX 9.0c subset API used the dev kits at the time.
Xbox 360 is going to be pushing graphics like you wouldn't believe. 3 1...
Flash a BIOS yet? It can totally mess up your system to get it done wrong or flash the wrong BIOS.
As for hardware failure due to software, sure that can happen. Bad registry settings causing a GPU to startup overclocked and then poof it bluescreens because of thermal failure. Or bad drivers causing a component to fail or crash when used.
ODST is a great game.
That's why they bought it. Oh, and maybe also because they WANTED to buy it...yeah I know it's weird but sometimes people do that :\
Well they beat GT5 in one very key feature.
Release date.
Good...let's play screenshots now instead of actual games :P
Gosh the PS3 fanboys never cease to amaze me. I should now consider it just free entertainment. It's almost funny now, lol.
(grabs the popcorn)
Each memory pool is hardwire programmed to be dedicated to its respective purpose. So it's not like having 512MB of unified memory.
PS3: 256MB XDR + 256MB GDDR3
Xbox 360: 512MB GDDR3 + 10MB eDRAM
PS3 has less memory and it has it split between the GPU and CPU. The GDDR3 memory can't be used by the CPU. Developers can instead move GPU workload to the CellBE, which it in turn uses that XDR memory. But the XDR memory is only accessible by CellBE due to its being t...
Well it's not really something you can pin on the whole audience. Multiplatform doesn't mean uninspired, nor does it have to mean gimped. PS3 fanboys tried to put that mantra out there but the truth is that several multiplatform games score better than exclusives.
Exclusive doesn't mean better, nor does it mean innovative. All those things just come out from what the game has to offer. What it contributes. Both exclusive and mutliplatform games have contributed a lot this gen.
