Honestly though I'm pretty sure this series is Xbox 360 exclusive. Plus PS3 gamers wouldn't know who Sovereign is...

Having "cores" doesn't mean that having MORE/LESS scales its performance. A Quad-core Intel CPU has a different architecture than the CellBE. Usually they're referring to how many units of execution there are or how the processor is organized. Consumer level desktops/laptops that ship with processors from either AMD or Intel are very different from what gets put into a console (closed architecture). Intel and AMD have to build their CPUs according to several variables:

That's going to hurt PS3's credibility though, having its much hyped processor canceled only 3 years into its life. It sure did provide developers with great results, but it never hit the mainstream and its costs to work with and train developers to efficiently utilize the CellBE architecture outweighed its results.

It wasn't ahead of its time...a hack n slash with great cinemas and voice acting and a particularly epic production value. But besides sixaxis integration and of course the graphics there really wasn't too much "next gen" in it. Heavenly Sword may have been a great next gen effort on Ninja Theory's part, but it carried over an idea and style from the previous gen. It felt like it was supposed to be released on the 128bit consoles.

Most of my friends used to want PS3 but they instead got an Xbox 360. A few still want PS3 but they said that they wished it had Halo 3 and Mass Effect. Oh, and they all think Uncharted is weigh overrated :/
