I wanna say this now...back in july I tried to run F@H on my laptop 8600m gs.
And that was the last I ever heard of it. The gpu failed and now that laptop is useless.
And I hate nVidia ever since because of their faulty laptop gpus. I appreciate the work they do, but it doesn't get me a new laptop.
I believe fanboys are like fish...they fight hard trying to go against the current in their hopes to praise their console and when the day's over they forgot everything they learned so that the next day they could continue to fight the same useless war.
Well I personally liked where they've been heading. You have to let go of what RE used to be and realize that it changed. Capcom adapted to the times and the hardware. Think of the standards that Xbox Live and PSN have brought to gamers. Games today are such an awesome experience online.
RE 5 is one great game.
That's okay, PS3 gamers play 2 things:
1) bluray movies
and
2) games that are 99% movies
Uncharted 2 is a great game. Modern Warfare 2 will get game of the year.
I think it's a great machine. If it fails on you get it exchanged/serviced. If you don't want to bother with that then get a PS3. But don't buy the illusion that it's an infallible console. Everything you buy that rolls off an assembly has the potential of setting you up for a bad experience. Some manufacturer's just have better track records and more solid customer service then others.
Xbox 360 is not an unreliable console.
PS3 fanboys have such double standards. They'll let this slide and say it's a minority, then when they approve their RRoD/Anti-Microsoft articles they'll call out Xbox 360 supporters and say that we're giving Microsoft a free pass.
I hope more of these stories get approved...those 700 fake accounts might not let that happen.

Heavenly Sword looks better than this game so far, that's always been my opinion. This build certainly raises the bar visually, but it's not coming close enough to mass effect 2 to really be a serious graphics contender for 2010.
the final version will most likely run at 720p, just as expected. also there will be compromises made to make sure the game runs smoothly, so maybe they'll manage 60fps but the complexity of the game world and the data workload will be less strenuous because of ps3's memory and graphics constraints.
it'll still look good though, for the most part. probably not as good as mass effect 2 though...
The complexity of these graphics processors isn't making a videogame developer's job any easier. If gpu tech like this means having to wait 5 years between sequels (ff xiii since 2005) i think that console gaming should stop and take a look at itself.

It's true, KillZone2 was a massive disaster and a foolish attempt at trying to dethrone Halo 3. The only game that has been able to give Halo 3 a good run for its money would be COD 4.
As it stands Halo 3 has survived every console FPS to come out before and after its release.
Halo 3 has conquered this gen, there's no two ways about it. Nothing from Sony comes close. Sad.

ps3 wont live 10 years...it's already half the cost of when it first launched. but ps2 and ps1 were both $150 and less by the time their successor came out.
do you REALLY think they'll let Microsoft launch Natal in 2010 and then 720 in 2011-12 without an answer to it? that's why they're where they've been at this gen.
my speculation: 2011-12 will see ps4, unless sony wants to lose another year to a microsoft console.

If I grab 100 people and ask them a yes or no question, it goes 50/50 on either side right? RRoD is not a yes or no question, there are actually quite a few causes and scenarios of it. So you can't just label ALL red ring errors as total console failures. I've had it a couple times and then the system worked fine afterward. Am I part of the 60% these guys are trying to fool me with?
