Question, there's a boss that I always had issues with later on in the game (near or before getting the phazon suit). I forgot the level/map, but it's some weird eggbot-like thing that I only ever seem to beat by getting stuck in tight spot where it can't hurt me and then just shooting the hell out of it. You need a special visor to see it when it cloaks, and also it can take your health down like water, really quick.

I don't think KillZone 2 did much for the genre but sure it has graphics. So it might be number 6 or 7, MW2 still looks better.
I'm glad to see Forza 3 in there too, the game has incredible graphics.

I mean REALLY? Most games don't even approach the level of realism of Mass Effect's characters or story, and I'm not just talking about graphics. The depth and attention to detail in the first Mass Effect competes even with 2010's Heavy Rain.

Comparisons really don't matter in the end, it only looks good because you're staring at it. The rest of the world just cares about how it plays. I'll give the edge to Forza since I really haven't had as much in a racing game as I have with Forza. If you're SERIOUS about racing and consider it some sort of class thing then you should really be out there DRIVING cars, not...
FF VIII was always my favorite. I think what did it for me was how very real and believable the characters were, it didn't matter to me that they were radically different from the style of art in FF VII. Both have a special place in my personal gaming history, but VIII's love story totally wins over Cloud and Aerith's from FF VII.

Heavy Rain is not 1080p. Neither is God of War 3, KillZone 2, Uncharted, Uncharted 2, MGS 4 (subHD), or GT 5p (< full 1080p =/= 1080p)
And it didn't take graphics for a 2007 Halo game to still beat the sh!t out of a 2009 PS3 fps...Uncharted 2 hasn't been able to match ODST's sales...face it, Halo Reach is going to be something that Sony wishes it didn't have to go up against.

Microsoft made a solid console, gave it massive processing power, and then made the gamers happy. That's all that matters. If Halo sells it's because it makes the gamers happy.
