Animation/physics look kinda stiff. Opening scene's graphics were impressive then the gameplay started and I was underwhelmed.
You're tired of it until game length starts getting shorter. Then you will be writing articles how you hate that the industry is obsessed with shorter length games. Complain complain complain.
The xbox console warriors have migrated to pc after the dismantling of that platform by Microsoft. Now consoles suck particularly playstation and we all should move to pc, lol. PC is not a platform like the big 3, but people talk about it like it is. Gaming media has largely become propaganda trying to dictate to people what games they should and shouldn't like/play and what platform to buy into.
Cerny covered all this 6 months before the release of the ps5 but these dummies at DF doubted him almost mocking him. Cerny told them then that they had to improve their technical knowledge but they laughed it off. Now they act like this is new information. People also forget that Cerny stated that they tried out different forms of gpu with more cu's at slower speeds and chose the more narrow approach, less cu's clocked higher.
Ps6 is coming in 2026/27? lol. I'll take that bet. You won't see a ps6 until late 2028 at the earliest.
To be honest, I find elden ring to be one of the least enjoyable From games of recent. Quite playing not longer after it came out, got pulled away by other games. Got back to it this year beat it and was thinking about getting the dlc. But from everything I've seen, I'm not to anxious to jump back in, looks way too derivative of the base game with aggressiveness and durability of the bosses cranked up. Not that difficulty should be too much of a complaint this early, it takes time. ...
We deserve? How about you shut up and just focus on releasing good games.
No, it was good for its time but time moves forward.
@Zlork, hahaha. They paid 70 billion last year for that privilege, lol. They're maintaining the status quo by keeping COD on playstation again because that's where the paying customer are. But by continuing to pursue this gamepass strategy by putting cod on it, they'll run that franchise into the ground to and eventually no one will want it (see halo).
@Zlork, xbox is irrelevant. It would be like serving the finest most expensive steak down at the soupe kitchen, lol. You save the best for the paying customers, not the "second-hand store" shoppers on the xbox platform. Lol. Maybe it will appear on gamepass 2 years from now on xbox's version of "coupon day".
@Stan, stop trying to make pc a thing, like the 3 existing platform holders are. PC is an open platform that is there to be used for whatever an individual/business wants to use it for, gaming, work etc.
@Asim, did you actually read my post? No you didn't.
@Zeref, oh yeah Nintendo/playstation being acquired by Google is more likely, lol. The xbox showcase was about games/gamepass which does not require hardware. Not saying their departure from hardware is immenent, but it makes way more sense for them then the scenario you suggested is more likely.
@Darx do you want more Nintendo type games? I don't. Use to be a big fan of Nintendo but they do not change they've been making largely the same games for over 30 years, like they're stuck on repeat. They're fun especially for kids but Nintendo will never make a game like gt7vr.
Jim Ryan was with Sony before Layden and led SIE to its most profitable generation and through the challenge of covid.
@ripper, the fake narratives some gamers promote about Sony's meger gaas push have little to no connection with reality. You watch the moment Sony shows off some of the big single player games being created by 1st party they'll be trashed to by the same big mouths who act offended by the mere existence of gaas.
If it's a result of last year's randsomware attack then it isn't "new".
Instead of making the correct less dramatic statement that "the 3 platform holders are exploring placing 1st party ip on platforms other than their own dependent in each companies corporate strategy " we get "all exclusives are bad for business because the industry isnt growing blah blah blah". Ever since Microsoft peddlled this nonsense instead of being upfront about why their platform is failing we've have dozens of these media types parroting this nonsensical thinki...
He wasn't baited, it was a stupid hypocritical comment from one Phillip Spencer which is par for the course for him.
Xbox has no say in this whether they are pushing the console or not. They were on the downward trend in the xbox1 gen, this is a continuation.
