Have been a member since December 2006, its crazy to think how much things have changed since then personally and in gaming. The PS3 was the much maligned console back then compared to the 360 which of course has completely been flipped on its head for the last 2 generations. I'll miss commenting on this site and reading all the comments from you all. Goodbye to all my fellow N4G members.
Remember just staring at it through the shop window and wishing I could buy it, lol. The games looked amazing for that time.
But with everything "maxed" out (path tracing etc) 99% of pcs struggle to maintain a solid frame rate. Face it with the heavy use of ai going forward alot of the visual differences pcs players have enjoyed will continue to diminish going forward.
@Destiny1080 You xbox fanatics never change lol. The next xbox could be 200 times as powerful as the ps6, it wouldn't make a difference because nobody cares about or wants an xbox.
@Agent75 There is no need to lie to make your point. The ps5pro is selling as a percentage about as well as the ps4pro. The recent pssr2 update has actually improved its value. Your attempt to group the ps5 a console (that is about to cross 100 million sold and is by far Sony's most profitable generation) with the abject failure that is xbox is laughably stupid. Truth is Sony shouldn't even consider launching another console until 2029 at the earliest.

@KyRo, I agree yet you have these nonsensical arguments that somehow this proves the ps6 is coming out next year because that dope Kepler/moores law told them so. I dont see how Sony can release a console next year or even 2028 in reality. If manufacturing costs keep rising, & economic forces continue to decline releasing a ps6 in 2027 (that would have to cost at least what yhe pro does) would be a mistake. Poor planning if they are forced to, this gen just got started really. I dont thin...

None of this needs to be defended, the world is facing some incredible economic head winds right now console prices like everything else are not immune. None of this matters, these are luxury items there are bigger things for people to concern themselves with like paying for the necessities of life.

@Paik nobody cares about switch 2. Switch 1 built it's popularity amongst none-gamers off of a novel concept like the wii. There is no reason to upgrade to a switch 2, certainly not graphics,lol. Just make peace with it now. And since when was Nintendo competing with Playstation they dont even launch at the same time and the ps4s run was abruptly ended in 2021 due to chip shortages.
Xbox as a platform went from bad to much worse
