But with everything "maxed" out (path tracing etc) 99% of pcs struggle to maintain a solid frame rate. Face it with the heavy use of ai going forward alot of the visual differences pcs players have enjoyed will continue to diminish going forward.

I dont see how Sony can release a console next year or even 2028 in reality. @Paik nobody cares about switch 2. Switch 1 built it's popularity amongst none-gamers off of a novel concept like the wii. There is no reason to upgrade to a switch 2, certainly not graphics,lol. Just make peace with it now. And since when was Nintendo competing with Playstation they dont even launch at the same time and the ps4s run was abruptly ended in 2021 due to chip shortages.

I dont think that's in the cards not with the 80 plus billion spent on gaming this gen. Microsoft aint subsidizing hardware anymore look how they've priced the series consoles and offered no deals this past holidays. Sony pulling away from pc ports is because there is no good rational for continuing to do so.
Microsoft always trying to get people to look to the future when present realities are going so well.
Remember just staring at it through the shop window and wishing I could buy it, lol. The games looked amazing for that time.
