Obviously if you find these games overrated or niche then yes you go with the xbox. But for 2/3 of gamers who chose the ps4 those exclusives matter.
Xbox doesnt have the games I have enjoyed the most this generation this is a fact. Astro Bot is my favorite game this generation, xbox doesn't even do vr. Not to mention God of War etc. I would never give these experiences up for gamepass or whatever. Its really that simple making the whole point of the article nonsensical. Games, it's all that has ever mattered. If you think the ps4 UI was ever going to deter or encourage someone to play Spideman then your lost.
99% of consumers will only own one console after all there is only so much time in a given day. People buy consoles to play games, full stop. If you cant entice people to buy your console with games, then it doesnt make a difference how awesome your "services" are. Owning one console doesnt afford most with an opportunity to make direct comparisons anyways so the whole point of this article is pretty pointless.

It is the gift of vr, specifically Astro bot, that has reminded me why I am a playstation gamer for life.
It is coordinated, from one story to the next it someone's article detailing why you should be outraged by something Sony is doing or not doing. Then the usual comments about "I will never buy a Sony console again", and " arrogant Sony is back".
Your right, I'm not sure why Microsoft is even in the gaming business. Look at their size and all the different things they have their hands in, explains why they've been so un-interested in creating content. Now good guy Phil shows up with nothing actually tangible just a bunch of promises that they're committed this time and they mean it. This article reads like a giant act of delusion.
What these articles dont seem realize is that for millions of gamers around the world, especially outside of north America, the xbox never has or will be an option.
Microsoft are the kings of talk. They are experts at empty promises for a future that may never come. We'll see if they actually mean it this time, and are committed to making exclusive content for their platform. I have my doubts.
"Lazy" what a joke. The market leader is still the one in year five, releasing the most AAA games consistently. At the same time releasing the most diverse library of games, etc astro bot in vr. It is Microsoft that has been lazy this whole generation.
What exactly are people supposed to be upset about? Nobody is going to die if Sony doesn't have an e3 press conference. Slightly disappointed, maybe. But upset? Get some perspective.

There is nothing wrong with a company deciding it doesn't want its platform associated with this type of material, Sony nor Steam are government institutions so it isnot censorship in the classic use of the word. People can decide if these policies are not to their liking and can then choose what to do about it. These policies always start really tough and can be scaled back once people get the message.
