Wish these Forbes writers would take their Microsoft fanboy hats off, so they can at least attempt to write an insightful article once in awhile. Sony actually has a market tested currently running streaming service for games. What ever you think of PSNow, Sony has been actually accumulating real world data for years and are in the best position to improve their offerings more effectively with said data.
People are obsessing over infrastructure now price etc. What about content, what games are going to entice customers? It could be $5 a year, nobody will subscribe if the content isn't at least as good as what is available now.
Yeah without actually releasing a, you know, actual functioning product to the public. Man Google and Microsoft sure are winning the fancy press events battle this generation.

Those billions of people dont exist. This may come as a shock to some but the vast majority of adults in the western world let alone elsewhere dont have the time, interest, or budget to invest in what is readily available now video games. I love video gaming and only invest so much time on a monthly basis to actually playing. The market for stadia and xlcoud and psnow is pretty much going to be the same market that exists today. This reality is what I suspect is going to hit Google and others...

It takes investment capital. You slowly ramp up features for PSNow as the market for it grows. You dont waste a tonne of money up front only to realize the interest isn't there. Sony has the advantage because they have been able to collect real world data from the service for years which is in invaluable. If Sony is saying we are years off from cloud base gaming becoming a real thing people should listen.
The myth of some inherent Microsoft advantage in the hope that Sony will be run out of the market. You are going to be so dissapointed.

Yeah it seems to be that for these clowns that if, maybe, possibly, kinda a chance xbox may deliver a good game from one of these studios down the road in a hyper imagined unspecified future (because they've failed to all this generation for the most part).... Sony is all of a sudden going to stop making great games (something they've done all generation).
MS hasn't proven they can create enough great games to support XBOX in general let alone an added VR platform. Its probably more than they can bare or be responsible for. Doesn't matter to me I will be sticking with Playstation next generation.
