That's just wrong, plain wrong. Live is contained entirely within MS's servers...buying a game does not, and never has, entitled anyone to use that service without paying for it first.
You are not renting anything, you are paying for access to their service. It's like any other internet site where you pay a membership fee - you're not entitled to enter those sites simply because you have an internet connection. That's faulty logic on your part I'm afraid.

@Hicken, milking consumers is an area where MS do not stand alone...how about Sony and their overly expensive proprietary cards for both the PSP and Vita?
How about Nintendo with their price-fixing of first party titles to the point that the price barely changes even years after release?
All 3 companies are businesses, they are ALL out to make money. Sony are finally seeing the light in terms of tempting the customer and rewarding their loyalty that the likes of Valve and GOG...

It's perfectly possible to pay £1 a month for Xbox Live....I did it for 6 months when I went through a CoD multiplayer phase. Usually I don't play online, so paying over £30 a year just for that is not enticing to me in the least.

I DO however pay for PS+, because it offers me something I want without taking away the ability to fart around online for a while if I like. I've just got plus for £29.99 for the full year as it's on offer, but even ...

And there you go proving his point, seeking to deflect onto the 3DS because it doesn't have many N64 games on it's service when that was never announced as being a feature. Sony advertised this ability, but have gone about getting it going in the worst way possible as highlighted in the video.
Users don't care about games being more complex on handhelds like Vita, they want their games and they want them quickly and efficiently....not being forced to jump through hoops at...

F*** off!! ;)

Just kidding, but really, time to get some less sensitive ears and listen to the opinion rather than faking being shocked because of a few curse words.

It clearly states "Black Ops coming to Mac", how can you possibly misconstrue that?

The thing I found baffling about this game is the exclusion of female characters in the multiplayer....no Vasquez? No Ripley?
That's really kind of bizarre considering Ripley was the main character in the franchise. Perhaps it'll be a future DLC, but it's a strange omission.

The Vita offers nothing to really make it an attractive proposition to anyone who already owns a home console, specifically a PS3.
The games being demanded or touted are stripped down console ports that diminish the experience, or cross play titles that offer nothing different from the home version. Gravity Rush is pretty much the only game that is uniquely "Vita".
Is it really worth paying all you have to pay to get the Vita up and running (including grossly overpr...

You have every old system on it, yet have to put up with crappy touch controls or get a fairly expensive accessory to give proper controls and bulk up your phone. And lets face it, Angry Birds and every other game on ios and Android simply cannot compete with real games on real game systems that offer real controls....and I say that as someone who has zero interest in a Vita.
Cut the Rope and Angry Birds are a fun distraction, but that's it.

@taquito, you VASTLY overestimate what the PS2 was capable of.

No it didn't, it took him a week of testing and fiddling, he just released it quickly after release.

No its not, there's been a few 6/10 scores here and there.
As for it being unoriginal....welcome to mainstream gaming. If you want original concepts, you mostly have to look at the indy scene. Sleeping Dogs being set somewhere other than America is a breath of fresh air for a GTA-style game. Yakuza is also set elsewhere, but it's not exactly the GTA style.
Frankly, it's blend of elements is really top notch...the combat system alone sets it apart.

@CraigUK, so you're saying that everything's OK so long as they don't get caught?

Phew, I'm sure that's a weight off the minds of criminals all over the world. (and no, I'm not calling Capcom criminals, I'm being facetious).

They are sectioning off content that could easily be included in the game in order to sell it to people later on despite it already being on the discs they already own. That's like Blu Ray companies charg...

Yes, they can do whatever they like...doesn't mean that people should blindly accept it. They are perverting the entire concept of DLC in order to fleece gullible gamers down the line.

That they try to dress it up as anything other than blatant money-grabbing really annoys me. Say what you will about Bioware and their blatant talk of looking to exploit and monetize potential players and developing strategies to do so...but at least they've been up front about their ...

CraigUK, don't fall for their claptrap about making it more convenient for people....it's utter rubbish to see if they can get away for charging for content which used to be unlockable extras.

If it's on the disc, it should be part of the game....the content was sent for certification at the same time as the other content on the disc or it couldn't appear on there. They're playing you for a fool and you're falling for it hook, line and sinker.

I know I'm going to sound like an old fart but, isn't this whole breast fascination from this series more than a little pointless in this day and age?
If you want teen rated spank material, it's available for free all over the internet. This gimmicky crap makes gamers look like complete simpletons...why don't they concentrate on making the game better rather than jiggle physics to please a bunch of unpleasant weirdos?

This Xander person comes off as a massive attention whore...desperate to make waves of any kind after he was fired.
His comments about the Wii U are ill-informed tripe considering he never actually worked on the equipment, so I have zero reason to believe anything else the man says in regards to his employment, as it's clear he's leaving out a lot of facts. He's too busy spouting off his oh-so-controversial views on issues that he knows are generating lots of discussion a...

Yes, because Valve and GOG.com have gone out of business by treating their customers with respect and offering incentives to purchase games from them rather than browbeating them with pointless DLC and online passes.

Oh wait...

"Gamers are actually happier, as they are able to spend money when they want. People may not want to pay upfront. They may be happier to pay when they are 'in the moment'."

That'd be OK if the games weren't already full retail price in the first place. Micro-transactions should be for Free to Play titles, not to gain advantages in multiplayer that haven't been earned, unbalancing the experience for those who haven't paid.
