For me it was Tiger's Gamecom which was supposed to rival Nintendo's Game Boy with a better screen and killer features.
Long story short, most of you are probably thinking "I've never heard of that thing."
See now that sounds like a reason to ask for this... I've seen too many people pumping up 1080p with 60 FPS.
This feels like it's a bit too soon. Remastering games from a pre-HD era yields far more noticeable results.
This might make more sense on the successors to the Xbox One and PS4 which will likely 4K support and be a bigger upgrade in terms of visuals.
I think you only need to compare the path of Nintendo to companies like Sega and Atari to get your answer... nostalgia only takes you so far. Nintendo deliveries a quality experience more often than not with Mario.
I miss cartridges! So yes, I'm still buying physical media. I only buy digital when it's the only option--even then I hold out since some digital only eventually get a retail release.
Perfect. Now I have time to complete the first 3 games... I've got a bit of a backlog!
The Getaway 3 seems likely because it was in development for a while on the PS3. Many of the assets are likely reusable.
I'll also toss Manhunt 3 out there since I do t think anyone else did yet! :)
After reading all the comments and everyone suggesting The Last Guardian makes me laugh since it's not a PS2 era IP.
But since everyone wishes it so, I'll get creative with all the comments... what if The Last Guardian is a sequel to Shadow of the Colossus?
There was a rumored 17th colossi in SotC that didn't exist... until The Last Guardian. Perhaps the game takes place during the events of SotC with another boy trying to protect one of the colos...
The video game medium makes it hard to discern where "fair use" can be applied. I'm not certain there is a good answer to the question.
For example, it's not acceptable to upload portions of movies and claim "free advertising". Yet many think this argument applies to video games.
I suspect clear legal definitions of "fair use" including parody and something to the affect of "reviews featuring no more than X minutes o...
It's worth noting that remastered certainly have their place and I'm not sure they need to go!
Imagine for example the younger Legend of Zelda fan who's excited to play classics like a Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask on the 3DS.
Perhaps even an Xbox 360 owner getting a PS4 that never played The Last of Us.
Simply put, if you've played the original and don't want to revisit it then don't but there is an audience for these ...
Naming a game Sonic Adventure 3 doesn't instantly make it a good game.
I would like SA3 as much as the next fan but I'm cautiously optimistic given that Sega has had mixed results in handling their mascot.
I'd like to see a "Legend of Zelda All-Stars" type of collection that collects early games in the series with originals and remakes. Some considerations might be:
* Legend of Zelda original and a treatment like what Nintendo did with SMB
* Legend of Zelda II (same as above)
* Link's Awakening (high resolution using at a minimum the SNES engine)
I actually thought they would do this with the 25th anniversary but it never came!...
Wait... Nintendo is putting out new hardware with exclusive games on that hardware?! They've never done that before!
(Sarcasm... since someone always asks!)
It's a shame that Molyneux hasn't been able to find a business partner that can match his excellent conceptual ideas with realistic expectations.

I'd love to see the DQ7 3DS game localized. The Playstation original is a classic!
What is this 'The Walking Dead' you speak of?
Third game by Team Ico?! HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED ZOMGG!!!
Don't you think with a lot of new IPs to utilize they would grow that user base?
Seriously, you can't spell "sequels" correctly?!
