Best way to put it. There's very little to no future for the Wii after the Wii U launches. I don't see it getting quite the same support that the DS got even after the launch of the 3DS, for instance.
Not saying this as an hater, just being realistic. I love my Wii, but it has run its course in the market long ago. The support for it has been terrible these last 2 years, and I don't see it getting any better when Nintendo and everyone else will be focusing their e...
Whoah, those backgrounds are looking incredible. On the second video, we can see a clear influence from Van Gogh. I quite love this.
As a sucker for platformers, I can't wait to play this game! :D
Drop the "new", switch art style, and make new power ups = agree.
Change the physics = hell no! The physics on those games are actually superb, they're the ONLY thing where I think the NSMB series actually outperform Rayman Legends. On everything else (art style and level design) Rayman wins hands down, but the physics on the Mario platforming games remain second to none, in my opinion.
Shovelware or not, that gameplay video was painful to watch.
Yeah, I find that very, very, very hard to believe. For that to happen, the GamePad would have to have a pretty high refresh rate, and that would ramp up the cost of it considerably.
So, I'm chalking that up as a mistake from the PR guy's part.
Just for consideration: if the Wii U had bigger internal hard drives, it would've ramped up the cost of the console.
Bear in mind that a lot of the prospective buyers of this new console won't even even take full advantage of the 8 GB internal drive of the basic model, much less the 32 GB present on the premium model... so it would be even more of a waste if there was a 320 GB model or something like that.
So, what about us, the gamers that will likel...
Too much stuff to choose from for me, and NOT ENOUGH RUPEES!
*cuts lots of bushes obsessively*
...and Nintendo didn't have anything to do with those games. What's your point, then?
It can't really be a flop if it's never released, though, can it?
I mean the Vitality sensor. It was just an idea Nintendo had, and they probably made some prototypes, but didn't deem it worthy of release... yet.
They could go back to that concept in the future, if they see it fit.
Muramasa says hi.
As long as Nintendo keeps making fun Mario, Zelda and Metroid games, as well as Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Donkey Kong, etc... their consoles will remain viable to me.
It would be nice if they made a brand new AAA IP, though.
Mario and Zelda games and the like are consistently VERY good games. So, according to you, I'm a fool because I enjoy them?
If you truly believe that, I pity you. Better to be a fool than a tool.
"If xbox wasnt in the picture splitting current gen sales in 1/2, PS3 would be up there with PS2."
What kind of ridiculous reasoning is that? The PS2 was also in direct competition with the original Xbox and Gamecube, so... come again?
That aside, I agree with you on everything else.
Three stands, too: one for the console, one for the controller, and one charging cradle for the controller. Yes, they're just pieces of plastic, but they still add to the cost of the bundle.
The PS3 has been almost 6 years on the market now, and it still doesn't have cross-game chat. The Xbox 360 has had it for ages now.
If cross game chat was any kind of priority for Sony, I think it's sensible to assume they woul've implemented it long ago. Since they haven't, what reason do we have to think we're going to get it, ever? It's pretty late in the console cycle to be adding such stuff now.
If you already played ME3 on the Xbox 360 or PS3, why would you bother with the Wii U version? I know I won't, there are many Wii U exclusive games I can buy with that money.
This is for first timers, obviously.
On the other hand, I hope EA releases the ME trilogy for the Wii U sometime later. :/
Internet users make you laugh, you mean. This isn't something exclusive to N4G.
Well, to be fair, the 3DS already has a pretty solid lineup of good indie games available on the eShop. So, to me at least, it was on the 3DS where Nintendo seriously started courting indie developers. I'm glad they seem to be building and expanding on that on the Wii U.
One man's trash can be another man's treasure. Just because this feature isn't appealing to you doesn't mean it's worthless. There's a good chance there are other features on the Wii U that you could find alluring, whereas other people don't.
That's something that comes from all systems, really. For some people, the Xbox cross game chat is one of the most important things of the console, while others don't care for it at all. For some peopl...
It seems it has really divided opinions, but regardless, it's got pretty great reviews.
