This is a subject with really divided opinions. A lot of people just don't care about achievements - trophies, while they're what sells the deal for a lot of other people. Nobody's is right or wrong on this matter, it's all about preferences.

For me, not having them on the Wii U doesn't mean anything. I don't care about trophies on my PS3, or achievements on my Xbox 360. However, I don't mind having them in my console, so other people can enjoy the...

As the article suggests, the Gamepad has a chance to change the gaming landscape. It's not flat out stating it WILL do.

In the end, it depends on how Nintendo and other devs use the Gamepad's strengths. The Wii Remote also had a chance to change the gaming landscape, as well, and in some extents, it did - opening the gaming hobby to the casual market, but on the other hand, the potential of motion controls wasn't fully realised on this gen. The vast majority of Wi...

To be fair, this news still don't really confirm that Nintendo has transitioned from blocks to actual MB storage calculations.

True, the box art does say the space needed in MB to save data, but it still doesn't shed any light on whether it will be actually displayed as MB or blocks in the system itself.

I hope it does, though. The blocks method is absurd and counterintuitive, akin to Microsoft's points system for Live (which I think has been rece...

So, an external hard drive is a tumor, now? Way to exaggerate, lol.

Lemme put it this way: if the Wii U already included a, say, 320 GB internal HD, it would've ramped the cost of the console unnecessarily, because there will be A LOT of casual gamers that won't take full advantage of said space. Heck, there's a good chance a lot of Wii U buyers won't even fill the 8 GB space of the basic model, much less the 32 GB space of the Deluxe bundle.

@Death_Grin48:

"The problem is this guy is making a big deal out of it, when you can simply charge the controller while playing."

That negates the "wireless" aspect of the controller a bit, don't you think? More so when you need a full 2 and a half hours to recharge the controller, only to be able to play it for 3 to 5 hours until the next recharge. No, I'm not making a big deal out of it, I'm pointing out an obvious flaw in th...

Apologists are funny. I''m a BIG Nintendo fan, but even I won't deny the truth: the Gamepad's battery life is terrible.

Between 3 and 5 hours for a device that doesn't do any processing? My android tablet has a battery life between 7 and 10 hours, and it does heavy processing, it has a higher resolution screen than the Wii U's gamepad, it's multitouch, it's wireless, it has gyro sensors, etc...

So, yeah. My guess is that the ga...

Nah, allowing users to plug any external hard drive they want is the best option. Nintendo did well by taking that route.

By using this to bash on Sony, you're no better than any Nintendo hater.

Yeah, I think you misread the title, and didn't bother to read the article at all. Wii U uses propietary batteries, and the're changeable by the user.

Not the same as the rechargeable batteries you have.

I actually like the 3DS's eShop interface way more than Xbox Live and PS Store, so I trust Nintendo on making a decent eShop for the Wii U.

You're being absolutely ridiculous, judging a component based on a single screenshot that doesn't explain how it will work at all. But whatever, I guess you don't have anything better to do with your life than to nitpick at every single detail to bash on a game company, as if somehow the other two companies paid you or som...

They can always improve the browser or anything else with updates, you know.

Ok, that article was absolutely amazing. Bookmarked the website. Talk about a strong first impression, I'll pay attention to those guys from now on.

Lol @ you. The GamePad is the whole point of the Wii U, so you will never own one, apparently.

Well, we don't need more closed minded people like you, anyways. Bye.

Because people are mean and idiotic like that. Every time I see someone getting disagrees just for stating a fact, my heart sinks.

Well, at least I gave you an agree. <3

The Pro controller also has a reportedly VERY weak rumble, which is probably one of the reasons why it's got such a long battery life.

For some people it may not be a big deal, but for me? i'll pass on it, sadly. I love me some rumble. :(

In theory, yes, it's possible to add that mode via a (probably quite large) patch.

But I wouldn't hold my breath for it, though.

@Ck1x:

Even with Nintendo publishing it, there's still a chance of some version of this game appearing on other platforms in the future. Same goes with Bayonetta 2. It all depends on the terms of the publishing contract, and the handling of the game for other platforms.

Take the first Mass Effect game, for example. It was published by Microsoft, so it was a PC and Xbox360 exclusive for years. But now, PS3 users are going to be able to enjoy Mass Effect 1 ...

@Deku-Johnny: I own all three consoles, and still the Wii is my favorite, too, so I understand your sentiment.

However, I also think it's not the best console this gen, despite it being my personal favorite. In that regard, I think the PS3 is the most balanced console out there now, in terms of exclusives, multiplatform support, and quality and variety of games.

Boy, am I glad I don't live in the same dimension you do, because in mine, Nintendo has released -and keeps releasing- several good games, year after year.

Not always. The Wii isn't, objectively speaking, the best console this generation, yet it won, sales wise.

But you gotta admit, without Nintendo's excellent first party games, the Wii wouldn't have been worth two shits.
