Nintendo actually releases a good amount of games, and they did give the Wii very good first party suport.
The Wii felt lacking in games because it had absolutely shitty third party support due to the lack in power between it and the other 2 consoles. But Nintendo themselves actually put out a lot of superb games for it.
So, you're wrong. Both Sony and Nintendo are excellent with supporting their hardware with their own software. It's Microsoft who la...
Nintendo said it would be coming out by "Fall 2013". That's why I'm wondering about that game.
No mention of the Zelda Wind Waker HD remake? According to Nintendo, it's supposed to come out by this year's end.
Yes, I know Nintendo tends to delay their games, but that's mainly the new ones, they didn't delay Zelda OOT for 3DS or Star Fox 3D remakes, if I remember correctly. So I think this Wind Waker remake has a good chance to make it in time.
I'm a Nintendo fanboy, and I think this article is ridiculous, just like you. Don't throw all of us in the same sack.
There's nothing wrong with being a fanboy, unless you're just a closed-minded fanboy... and those are ALL awful, no matter if they're on Microsoft, NIntendo or Sony's camp.
I own Xenoblade, I love it. Yes, it's an awesome game.
But just because of one hit game you can't state matter of factly that Monolith Soft is better than Squaresoft.
And yes, X looks superb. But we don't KNOW how it will turn out in the end. I hope it's equally as awesome as Xenoblade, if not better, but you really need to calm down, your stance defending everything about Nintendo is absolutely out of control.
- $600! GET TWO JOBS!
- RRRRIIIIIIDGE RACEEEEEEEER!!!!!
- Awesome game, 100% historically accurate!! *Giant enemy crab pops on screen*
:P
In all seriousness, though, it's true that Sony had a ridiculously rocky start with the PS3, and suffered a lot in its first years in the market. But that doesn't change the fact that, nowadays, the PS3 is an incredible machine with a superb price, a very large library of quality games (many of them ...
The first Little Big Planet game is one of the best selling PS3 games. Yeah, it's nowhere near the levels of popularity of any given Mario game, but that does not equate a failure.
Fair enough. I stand corrected, then. :)
I think you got the terms mixed up. A remake is when you re-do a game, with better textures, better graphics, improved sound and other extra stuff. Ocarina of Time 3DS is an example of that.
A remaster is when you take the exact same game as it was originally released, and bump up the resolution and aspect ratio so it looks decent on an HDTV. The God of War Collection for PS3 is an example of that.
Wind Waker HD, judging by the released screenshots, is a rema...
Wow. So, instead of pushing the Vita themselves with more games, Sony prefers to try and make US, the gamers, do the advertising?
Agh. You're doing it wrong, Sony! Put games on the Vita, you have a lot of awesome IP's that could help push sales for your little system, and also try and lower the price a bit, either of the system, or the memory cards.
"PSP games,PS1 games, psp mini's, playstation Mobile."
Yeah, except that some people bought the Vita to play Vita games. And those are lacking on the system right now.
Wait, I'm uninformed about this... what happened to GiantBomb? 0__o
It's not so much the score, but the reasoning behind said score. Gamespot docked a lot of points from Skyward Sword because the reviewer didn't understand how to use the motion controls properly, then he blamed the game for it, when in reality it was just due to his own incompetence.
Lego City Undercover, Bayonetta 2, Rayman Legends, Zombi U, Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate, Wonderful 101 and Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge. All third party games exclusive to Wii U. Not to mention they're making this Smash Bros game with Namco Bandai, so I see Pacman as a definite possibility for a playable character :)
@clyde san:
I agree for the most part with what you said. However, I wanted to point out a few things:
1. My list was in reply to TheGamingArt's statement that Nintendo isn't doing any moves for the Wii U. Clearly that's not the case, as my list shows that Nintendo is quite busy in making games for the console, or securing publishing deals with third party devs to get exclusive games for the system.
2. Of course game consoles cost...
It's similar in the sense that yes, there are big creatures in the game, and yes, you can engage in fights with them, and use the materials collected from their corpses to upgrade your equipment, clothes, etc...
However, in Monster Hunter, hunting monsters is the whole point of the game, whereas in Xenoblade, you really don't have to engage with them if you don't want to, unless it's somehow part of the main story mode. But if you don't, then you won't...
I don't think it was overrated at all. It's easily one of the very best Wii games, if not the best.

Whoah. Pretty impressive, considering the Giana Sisters started their life as a complete rip-off of Super Mario Bros. back in the NES days (yes, they are that old).
XD
I would very much prefer if Mario Kart U was all new tracks, without any remade track from past games. Yes, it felt great to have them in Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7, but now I think that novelty's worn off.
If they completely forgo that, and instead gave us a new Mario Kart game with a whooping 32 completey NEW tracks, it would be incredible. Mario Kart 7's track design on their new tracks was so spectacular, I would love to see that fully made on ...
