Genesis does what Nintendon't, uh?
Good times. :P
I can't use a single one of Microsoft's various entertainment apps on my Xbox 360.
Why? Because I don't live in the United States. That's why.
So, the only Xbox 360 app I have access to is... Netflix. Which I can use on my PS3, too. And, unlike the Xbox, I don't need to pay a subscription over another subscription to use it.
I can play blu-ray movies on my PS3. I can stream whatever I want from my laptop to my PS3. I can u...
I have Shadowgun, I paid $1 for it. It was on offer that day. The Android version optimized for Tegra 3 chips, that is, which is graphically even better than the iPad version.
And while Shadowgun looks superb... as a game it's nowhere in the same level of quality as Mario 3D Land, New Mario Bros 2, Resident Evil Revelations, Zelda Ocarina 3D, etc.
If graphics alone are your standard by which you judge the quality of a game, I feel truly sorry for you. Yes...
I want Colors! for Wii U.
It's already amazing on the 3DS, and that is a stupidly tiny screen. Imagine how awesome it would be on the Wii U gamepad.
:<
No analog sticks?
LOL! Not a chance in hell of this being true.
Well, Sony is sure making a big deal out of this event. The amount of hype and noise they made for it is way too big to be something insubstantial.
The probability of this being the PS4 is very high. That's why people are excited.
Pokémon? Of course it's not their fault. Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest? Well, they could certainly try to court the publishers of these games a bit more, and do something to get a bigger install base on their handhelds. They aren't really doing any of that.
Theoretically? Yes, of course it can. The Last of Us on Wii U will never happen, though, just like any Mario or Zelda game won't happen on a PS3.
@Nodoze: just press the home button on the Wii U controller, and go to Gamepad settings... it will appear right there on the controller screen. It really baffles me how you managed to not notice it, it's really right on your face! XD
I will give you another tip: if you're playing games like Trine 2 or Mario Bros U, where the sound of the gamepad is exactly the same as the sound of the TV, just turn the volume dial all the way down on the Gamepad. You don't need t...
Did you read what I said? It's right there. In my post. In the last sentence.
"Wouldn't this mechanic make the game way too easy if you played with another player?"
^ That means that, yes, I understand it's a coop feature. It doesn't necessarily justify it. I was making a genuine question. Up your reading comprehension skills, please.
Maybe there's a justification for this feature, maybe there's a mechanic to...
Whoah. With that reply, you just proved Canary's point even further. He didn't say anything negative nor positive about Wii U, and he didn't mention the PS4 and 720 at all. He made a objective observation regarding the Wii U, and Wii U alone, because that's what the article is about.
Yet you felt necessary to defend the Wii U from an INEXISTENT ATTACK by bringing the -yet unreleased- PS4 and 720 to the discussion, and using that as a fallacious argument to cal...
After the latest Nintendo Direct, they have set the bar a bit high, so I think expectatives for this one will be a bit on the roof. Maybe we should tone them down a bit, it's not realistic to expect Nintendo to give us a "mini-E3" on every Nintendo Direct, is it? :P
Anyway, if they do blow us away with more awesome and unexpected news, I will be pretty happy. :3
The gameplay video looks great, but I really am not liking this co-driver powers stuff. Turning off traffic, changing the time of day... really? Wouldn't this mechanic make the game way too easy if you played with another player?
:/
Uncharted 2 & 3 are better than Uncharted 1. Grand Theft Auto 3 is better than the first 2 GTAs. Super Smash Bros Melee is better than Super Smash Bros. Little Big Planet 2 is better than Little Big Planet. Mario Galaxy 2 is better than Mario Galaxy 1. Mario Kart 64 is better than Super Mario Kart. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is better than the first 3 Call of Duty games.
In videogames, there's countless examples of sequels that trump the first game on everything....
I still need to play Saints Row 3, but I love Saints Row 2 & 3 even more than GTA IV - which I still loved, just not as much... although I spent 100 hours on GTA IV, more than what I spent on Saints Row 1 & 2 combined! :P
I played Just Cause 2 for about 3 or 4 hours and got bored of it pretty quickly. I felt that game was way too big for its own good, all of it felt pretty... disjointed. :/
Oh, and the GTA IV expansions were great. Lost & Damned ...
Lies! LIES I SAY!!!
What does blockbusterisitie mean? 0_o
You aren't serious, are you? Something tells me you're joking, but I'm not sure. :/
1) The second best console launch in history is SUBJECTIVE.
2) The DS and 3DS were / are beasts, but the Wii wasn't number 1 from a games perspective, only from a sales perspective. Unless you're a Nintendo shareholder, why should you care that the Wii was the best selling console? Outside of the awesome Nintendo exclusives, the Wii was seriously lacking in third party support, and this was a BIG factor for the PS3's and Xbox 360's massive game libraries. So, ...
Even if the Wii U is a complete flop that makes Nintendo lose hundreds of millions of dollars in the end (not likely), Nintendo will still be here next generation, so we will definitely see them.
They are in a pretty good financial shape, actually. Much better than Sony, as a matter of fact.
So, if the Wii U fails (again, not very likely), they will just get up and try again with a new console.
