Not every game needs to be Zombi U in terms of GamePad integration.
As far as multiplatform titles go, using the gamepad's screen to clear a bit the HUD from the TV, and putting inventory and maps in the smaller screen would be more than enough. That, in addition of off-screen play (in which case everything would be displayed on the smaller screen, leaving the TV free), would most likely make the Wii U the superior console for multiplatform titles (assuming, of course, th...
@cherbhy
Where did that Aonuma quote came from? I see you citing it, and I see that link you provided also cites it, but I don't see a source. The only similar thing I read was that rumor in Zelda Informer that the new Wii U Zelda would take after Skyward Sword's style, and it's that, a rumor.
Anyway, regarding the article about the basics of Zelda, I disagree with pretty much everything the guy said. I loved Skyward Sword, and I loved all the new...
Thanks! ^_^
Monolith Soft's new game, Zelda Wind Waker HD, Yoshi's new game in the Epic Yarn style, and a cross-over for Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem... all announced in a Nintendo Direct conference, not a big event like E3 or Tokyo Game Show or Gamescom.
You are blind.
Not exactly true. They had their quota of stupidly boring E3's, sure, but they have also had a few exciting ones. Just like Sony and Microsoft, really. :P
Allow me to remind you that this remake is not THE Zelda game in development for Wii U; it's just more of a delicious entrée. :)
According to Aonuma, the Wii U-specific Zelda game is in development, and it's still got a long way to go before it's ready. We don't know if it will have the same graphics as the tech demo, but even if it doesn't, it will probably look spectacular all the same.
Nintendo actually never said that the tech dem...
Man, are you in for a treat...
One? Try three: this game, the Yoshi game, and that Shin Megami Tensei / Fire Emblem crossover.
That without mentioning the upcoming Rayman Legends, Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate, Lego City Undercover and Bayonetta 2... all third party games exclusive for the Wii U (and 3DS, in the case of MonHun).
@Sexius Machimus:
This game was announced on the english Nintendo Direct video, directed to the Western market... so it's safe to assume it's going to come here.
...what?
Yeah, Resi Evil 1 for Gamecube looked superb... but to say there's not been better looking games since then is... just... what?
Uncharted games? Heavy Rain? God of War 3? Mass Effect games? Etc etc etc?
Seriously... what?
Also, how's that game a proof that Nintendo knows how to use power properly? Wasn't that game made by Capcom?
I haven't read this article... but you only need the Gamepad for Wii U games.
And of course you would need Wii Remote for Wii games, no way around that. But if you just want to play Wii U games, then the controller that comes with the console is enough (assuming you want to play alone, that is).
Non-issue.
It's been a while for me, but I think my playthrough went around 20 hours in Normal mode. I think CaptainYesterday forgot that, in order to unlock Hell Mode, you need to finish it in Normal first. So, it can't have taken him only 12 hours... it must've been 12 hours PLUS whatever hours it took him to finish the game in normal difficulty.
Basically: don't worry. Revelations has quite a lot of content to it, and that's not mentioning the multiplayer online p...
Ok, release one big N exclusive every 6 months, and get good third party support.
The Wii's lackluster library wasn't because Nintendo didn't make games... they made a lot of them, and pretty good. It was because of lack of third party support.
Yeah, because the most powerful console always win... oh wait.
@dlpg585
Good for you for demanding a source instead of just blindly believing what some stranger in the internet spouts. Here you go:

This link above is a quite comprehensive study of Sony's financial state, and yes, said poor state is for the Sony company as a whole, not just the entertainment division. Now,...
Yeah, fair points. People just disagreed with you because you tend to troll a lot, but that post was pretty fair.
Yeah, you're completely ignoring the fact that the userbase gap between the Wii U and the other HD consoles is a good 65-70 million. Yet you think the Wii U version will sell better?
Not realistic at all.
Well, it's true... Sony would definitely benefit much more from getting the lion's share of the market next gen than the other 2 companies, because they're in very bad financial shape.
Microsoft and Nintendo are in a very healthy state, with a good balance between their net worth value and their debts... meanwhile, Sony is in so much debt, they would need to sell about 85% of their total assets to call them all off. That's quite a bad position there.

I loved the RE Revelations one. I found it to be a quite brilliant twist. When I came to that part, I just thought "Oh Capcom, you evil bastards, you". :P
Nintendo release games and hardware on sundays almost all of the time. :P
