Dimming functionality on the tablet controller? You mean the screen brightness? Becuase it has the option to decrease it, and doing so effectively improves the battery life dramatically.
And I use Netflix on my Wii U all the time. My console still hasn't frozen on me while playing Netflix, not even once, after probably more than a hundred hours. On the other hand, I've had it freeze on me 5 or 6 times on Miiverse. Weird.
Of course it remains to be seen, but ultimately it's up to the developers to ensure that their open world game is interesting, packed full of things to do, and give the impression that it's alive. A huge game that feels barren, with little direction, will bore the player pretty quickly, no matter how painstakingly recreated or big the world is.
This is why I stopped playing Just Cause 2 fairly fast. I thought I would love it, because I love pretty much all sandbox gam...
Puns are cerealous business.
No, it's another dude. Read the goddamn article, it's because of people like yourself that misinformation and false facts spread like wildfire on the internet.
He just asked a question. Why so defensive?
I'd say Trine 2: Director's Cut. Yes, it's downloadable, and yes, it's also on the other consoles (as well as PC), but it's the best looking console version, and has more content on it that isn't present on Xbox 360 or PS3 (according to Frozenbite, the game devs, it was because they couldn't put said content on the other HD consoles without compromising the graphics).
Now, speaking strictly about exclusives, there's nothing noteworthy on Wii U ...
I was born in '82, I have been gaming for about 24 years now. NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, PS2, Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360.
And now, a Wii U.
And I'm enjoying it a lot. I guess that makes me an inexperienced gamer according to your logic.
I think it's safe to say that it could be about 30-40% of the total shipped units in the first several years. However, the Xbox has been reliable ever since the Jasper model, with the "Slim" model being even more reliable, and that's been going on since mid-2008.
That's 4 years of reliable Xbox 360 hardware, so I don't think the proportion of replacement consoles vs. total hardware sales would be as big as 40% now.
You're right, Gearbox have never released a Descent game, much less half-a-Descent game.
But, you know, Descent was created before Gearbox Software was founded, so it would be kinda hard for them to have made it, much less half-made it.
:)
I agree, this review was bad because it has a ton of words written in it, and no big shiny number with a score at the end so I can comprehend it.
What am I supposed to do, read it?
D:<
That was probably the reaction from many Metroid fans when they found out Prime was going to be in first person... at the time it seemed like a batshit insane idea that couldn't be pulled off, but look how that ended.
Never say never. :P
PS3 and 360 are at about 70 million sold each, give or take. A 30 million difference is actually quite big, much more so when you consider that Nintendo has sold the Wii at an healthy profit since day one, whereas Sony and Microsoft bled money for several years because their consoles were sold at a massive loss, plus the RROD fiasco.
After two months and change? Don't be so hasty. It's barely the beginning. The 3DS also had a pretty rocky start, and look where it is now.
Nintendo is the best at this game, they won't allow this console to fail.
If off-tv play was mandatory, I don't think gaming experiences like Zombi U or Nintendo Land would be possible. Because of this, I'm glad it's optional.
It's really hard to say what Sony's philosophy regarding power is. On one hand, the PS1 and PS2 were fairly weak consoles, but on the other, the PS3 was powerful. And the PSP was vastly more powerful than the DS, but the Vita, although more powerful than the 3DS, does not show such a big gap as the one that was between PSP and DS.
Yeah, I can't help but feel like this is a big middle finger to Wii U users who were looking forward to playing this game in less than a month... :/
No, I'm from Costa Rica, a small country where pretty much all electronics are very expensive, not only game consoles. TV sets, dishwashers, freezers, game consoles, smartphones, tablets, washing machines, cars, etc etc etc, are all considerably more expensive in here than they are in the U.S. The average salary of the costa rican citizen is much lower than that of the U.S. citizen, making this difference even more pronnounced.
I spent $900 on my first PS3, $700 on my second one (after the first died - and I live in a country with crazy expensive prices for electronics, I spent $600 on my Wii U).
So, yes. I will pay whatever the PS4 costs, if and when it offers a compelling library of games, both multiplatform and exclusive.
"Fans will be able to grab Legends for either platform in September. Unfortunately, the Wii U version has now been delayed from February 26 to September as well."
Uh, oh. Shitstorm coming in 3... 2... 1...
I would love to see KingofWiiU's reaction to this. He must be frothing at the mouth, lol, especially considering how many times he stated this game wasn't possible on PS3 and Xbox 360. XD
Dude, all Wii games were programmed to work with Wii Remotes, not a completely different controller for a yet unreleased console from the future... Your complain really doesn't make much sense here. :/
The closest solution I can think of for this complain would be for Nintendo to patch "Wii Mode" on the Wii U so that it recognizes the Wii U Gamepad as a Classic Controller, I guess. But even if they did this patch, this would make the Gamepad only playable on ga...
