"It's called being creative"
EXACTLY what I said. Clever art direction. Not a matter of power. You just agreed with my point, and contradicted yourself.
I don't know if the PS2 could've pulled that game off or not... but the Gamecube was actually a stronger machine than the PS2, so that point is absolutely moot.
Have a good day.
He's actually right. Wii U is current gen now, making Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii last gen. When the PS4 and next Xbox are released, that will just mean we will be fully into current gen, that's all.
These are just semantics. Being "last gen" doesn't make a console irrelevant, or obsolete. The PS3 and 360 will still get support for some time after their sucessors have come out, especially the PS3 if history is any indication.
To answer you que...
I can't believe how you use the same Resi 1 comparison on pretty much every single damn comment you make. Resi 1 isn't proof of anything, dude. That game looked great due to a rather clever trick Capcom did with the art direction, using prerendered assets for all the backgrounds. That's why the game plays the way it does, all static, instead of having live movement in the scenarios. They weren't actual 3D.
So, the great graphics had absolutely nothing to do wi...
There are a few game breaking glitches, actually, not just the one. Luckily I never ran into any on my Zombi U playthrough.
Wait... Mario Golf is actually pretty fun.
Last week! They announced and released Balloon Trip for Wii U the same day.
XD
All of what you listed is a series of educated guesses, rumours and speculation. None of that equates to actually KNOWING what the next consoles will be like.
Don't get me wrong. I also think it's a possibility that the gap in power between the Wii U and the other next consoles isn't as big as it was between the Wii and Xbox 360 and PS3.
But I don't KNOW that.
For all we know, Sony could put out a console that's just as po...
Aliens isn't Wii U exclusive, bro.
Bayonetta 2, Rayman Legends, Lego City Undercover, Zombi U and Wonderful 101 are exclusive third party games for the Wii U.
As a big Nintendo fan myself, you embarrass me. Spouting false information as fact does not make your point stronger. Ugh.
We. Don't. Know. The specs. Of the. PS4. And. Next Xbox.
WE DON'T.
Therefore you can't say the Wii U has a more powerful GPU than those consoles.
I don't fucking care if people want to label the Wii U as a next gen console or not. It is next gen only by virtue of being the sucessor of the ...
OVER NINE THOUSAND!!!!
Wii U has so far sold better than the Xbox 360 and PS3 in their same respective timeframes. How does this equate to "not selling"?
Journalism at its finest.
Yup, and those aren't the "core fans" that this article is about. They are "core haters".
Can you lend me that magic ball of yours, please? I would love to use it to, you know, win millions of dollars with the lottery or something like that, not proving a point about a game console on a website that ultimately doesn't say anything.
It would be nice if you provided a source to back up these numbers. Just to see where you're coming from.
Can you comply? :)
Don't come here with facts, research and logic. People don't like that.
:P
What? They didn't show anything about Smash. They only said they would show it in some form at E3 this year. Smash was announced as "in development" since last year's E3, and so far they haven't shown us anything.
Smash was just a reminder at the latest Nintendo direct, a side note if you will. Nothing near "the best announcement".
For me, the best announcement was the Wind Waker HD remake. This was something I was hoping for a long time. Ever since Nintendo first announced Wii U two years ago, I wanted them to make a remake of Wind Waker on HD, widescreen, and taking advantage of the Gamepad. When I saw this remake announced in Nintendo Direct, I screamed like a little girl, high-pitched squeal and everything.
The second best announcement, and a very close second, was X. Xenoblade is a superb game, so ...
AGH. DUDE. HE WAS NOT ATTACKING RETRO STUDIOS.
He said "Retro Studios of all companies!" in the sense that yes, Retro Studios is already AWESOME, and it's only going to be more awesome with these new talented devs.
There's a reason why you only have one bubble. You most of the time have good points regarding Nintendo and Wii U, but they are sadly clouded by your own overdefensiveness and sometimes, needless hating towards other companies. St...
I would've liked a bit more combat variety. Not only in the form of more hitting stuff besides the cricket bat, but also the way melee was handled. Zombi U had only this ONE animation for the cricket bat, making it incredibly repetitive.
If they make a sequel, I hope they improve this by letting us control our swings in more ways than just up to down - left to right, right to left, and diagonal angles, etc, on top of more melee weapons.
And I HOPE they ma...
240fps? LMAO.
Even "hyperrealistic games" feels like a bit of a stretch.
