Yup. For starters, the Virtual Boy didn't even manage to sell one million in its only year of life. Wii U, so far, has sold between 3 and 4 million on 4 months.
Don't worry, I will balance things out.

With AMAZING games like Xenoblade Chronicles? I'd say yes.
BLAST PROCESSING!!!
Incredibly slow? It takes exactly 8 seconds to fully get out of the game and back to the Wii U's main screen. That's about the same as Xbox 360 and PS3, if not faster (I know, I own both).
Lol you. BF4 is coming out for PS3 and Xbox 360, and both consoles are, overall, weaker than the Wii U.
B4 isn't coming out for Wii U simply because the install base is too small for EA's tastes. It's as simple as that, really.
Terrible counterargument. Deus Ex isn't out yet, we don't know how well (or bad) it will implement the Gamepad, and even if it did it well, we don't know how well the game will sell, nor if it will be a system seller (doubtful).
The truth is: the Wii U has been out for barely 4 months now. To have a shitty first year is just standard fare for modern consoles, so to condemn the Wii U this soon is stupid.
So, Clarence's argument doesn't hold...
"Nintendo have only survived this long because they've manage to monopolize the handheld market and struck gold with the wii. Both the N64 and Gamecube were disaster and thats a fact that no one can deny."
Actually, it's pretty easy to deny it. N64 and Gamecube, while not selling anywhere near the levels of PS1 and PS2, still turned out a nice profit for Nintendo. Nintendo only had ONE console flop in all of their history, and that was the Virtual Boy, which...
"This is down to the fact that they have put ticks in boxes that says such as “connects to the internet” “uses the Wii U GamePad” and “plays games online.” Even a child of 5 would assume that all of these from the console. One reason that wasn’t mentioned on the ticked list was the fact that there is GameCube functionality on the Wii U."
Not only is this article terribly written, it's also inaccurate. Gamecube functionality on the Wii U? It's missing Gamecu...
(Sorry for the multiple posts, the browser went apeshit on me).
(Sorry for the multiple posts, the browser went apeshit on me).
Yup, Nintendo rushed the system to market. They wanted it out by November of last year, to get some sales from the Black Friday and Holidays shopping sprees.
Hence the OS being un-optimized.
I'm a big Nintendo fan, but that much was clear as day to me. More so considering the Wii U had a 1 GB day-one system update.
Actually, yes, there's a big difference, even between Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World. World was much more detailed graphically than Bros 3, and the parallax effect alone added a superb visual depth to the game.
Consider this: Super Mario World looked leaps and bounds better than any NES game you can think of, and it was just a launch title. Over the years, numerous other games appeared that were much more impressive graphically (like the already mentioned Donkey...
Uh... are you aware that this is a port of a 3DS game that was released about a year ago?
What... what the... what.
Ok, you admitted you weren't even born when the SNES came out. I was born in the NES era, and I was there when SNES came out after having played with NES for a few years, so I was able to properly appreciate the difference in graphics. Yes, it was a BIG difference for us back then.
Compare this, one of the best looking NES games:

Super Mario Galaxy rollercoaster.
Make it happen now.
Nice trolling there.
Nintendo also published Ninja Gaiden Razor's Edge. And now that game is coming out for PS3 and Xbox 360 too.
Microsoft published the first Mass Effect game, and now it's available for PS3 as part of the Mass Effect Trilogy. It took several years, but it came out in the end.
Nintendo publishing a game doesn't guarantee that said game will be exclusive to Nintendo forever, UNLESS they own that game's IP. Nintendo doesn't own Bayonetta, so Ba...
What if Nintendo releases a 3D Mario game toward this year's end? They've said they would be showing it in playable form at this year's E3, along with Mario Kart Wii U, so it's plausible that those games are actually far into development.
If that was the case, we should also take said 3D Mario game into consideration as a possible GOTY contender. So far, all 3D Mario games have been top notch.
Uh, no. Iwata is good for Nintendo.
