Merle is definitely racist and sexist and anything bad you can think of; Daryl, not so much.

Take Ninja Gaiden out of that list, because the Wii U version was a definitive improvement over the other console versions. Still barely a mediocre game, but at least it wasn't straight crap. :P

@InMyOpinion: yeah, because the Vita version of COD did so well.

Stop spouting that nonsense that EVERY review site has sold themselves out. If that was true, then THIS game would be getting good scores too, because it's published by Activision, the same guys that piblish Call of Duty.

No matter if you've gotten tired of the COD series by now (or if you've NEVER liked it, like myself), they tend to be well done games, and when they're bad, the...

Phil Fish clearly hasn't played Cave Story (the eShop release) or VVVVVV (again, the eShop release). If he did, he would see that these games with strictly 2D sprites actually look pretty nice with the 3D effect.

I don't see why it would be any different with Fez. More so considering that, in top of the 2D sprites, Fez has that amazing changes in rotation, where the game actually becomes 3D if so very briefly. Those instances would look incredibly superb with the 3D e...

Hey, at least we can play Wii games on it. If the PS4 faces a game drought in its first year (very likely, considering that's what usually happens with new consoles), hey... it doesn't play PS3 games.

:P

Is this an article? Because it read more like an ad, making grandiloquent statements about GT5, and about a game that's not even been revealed yet, much less released.

Operation Rainfall was basically a big-ass petition movement claiming for Xenoblade, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower for Wii.

Xenoblade and Pandora's Tower have been already released, and Last Story is coming soon.

So, yup, petitions can work... sometimes. No hurt in trying.

Yes, they will.

I agree. While it's nice to have a battery solution from third parties, Niko's Uboost looks... well... ugly as hell. There's no way to put it mildly. It's big, clunky, and in my opinion, destroys the aesthetics of the Gamepad.

The funny thing is, the battery inside the Gamepad's is actually much smaller than the battery compartment it's lodged on. This makes me believe it's actually possible to put a larger battery in there. Maybe Nintendo didn'...

You will be hard pressed to find a short open world game. The genre lends itself to long games in design. See: Saints Row, LEGO GTA, any Grand Theft Auto, any Red Dead Redemption, Just Cause 2, etc. Heck, even Batman: Arkham City has a quite respectable length, and it's a "short" game as far as sandbox games go.

It doesn't make sense to compare any sandbox game with, say, the vast majority of first person shooters -- a gaming genre that, nowadays, is much mo...

Pop, calm down a little. I'm a big Nintendo fan, and usually I respect your opinion, but sometimes you get way too overdefensive. Lol_Wut has as much right to say Nintendo should make a price drop on the Wii U, in any article, as you do of making your case defending Nintendo in various regards.

And THIS article happens to be about price cuts of the Wii U in various retailers, so yeah, Lol_Wut's comment isn't out of place here.

"Mario's and Zelda's are Not enough to save the system just as it wasn't enough to save gamecube."

I'll let you know: Nintendo sold the Gamecube at a profit almost since launch, and they sold about 21 million of them.

Microsoft sold the Xbox at a loss for the entirety of that generation, and they sold about 24 million units.

Do you think Microsoft "won" just because they sold more consoles?

No, I'm talking about that 2D sidescroller that's part of a franchise that sells into the tens of millions. The New Super Mario Bros IP is one of Nintendo's best selling ones, and a console-seller, which isn't a small feat.

Oh, and the game itself... have you played it? If you had, you'd know it's the best entry in the "New" series, by a mile. I personally put it up there with Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 3.

Looking at Two Tribe's list of games in Wikipedia, I don't feel they have the necessary pedigree to handle a big Star Fox game.

Wii Sports and Zelda vesus Nintendo Land and Mario Bros U.

:)

There's telling, actually. Nintendo would come up with a new console. Their financial state is stupidly healthy now, definitely enough to survive an absolute flop and try again.

Lol @ the disagrees. How can you disagree with a FACT? Stupid system is stupid.

I don't know about the demo, but in the full game, you unlock the full range of movement pretty soon, and you slide, kick, slide-kick, shield, perform rythmic sections where you tap A, X, Y, B (in that order) and sections where you rotate your right analog stick. And there's two kind of jumps, with different airtime, that affects your performance, as well. On top of all that, there's dance moves involved that gives you extra points if you put them off successfully, at the risk tha...

Well said. That's what I usually do when I'm not sure about a game. I go to Metacritic, and read a few reviews ranging from good to bad, ignoring the numbers, and extrapolating the important stuff between all the reviews.

So far, this system has worked pretty well for me.
