@jaymart2k: I played both GTA4, its 2 expansions, and Saints Row 1 & 2. And while I personally enjoyed the Saints Row games more, I don't think that GTA4 is overrated as many people seem to think nowadays. I think it's mostly deserving of all the great scores it got, even if it was a departure in tone from previous GTA games (and I've played almost all of them, way back to the first one on PC).

Well, GTA5 is also coming out this year, and Last of Us too, so Bioshock Infinite has some pretty heavy competition coming.

And Wind Waker HD, despite being a remake, could also rack up a lot of superb reviews. And nobody knows how Pikmin 3 will fare, but the first 2 games have been very acclaimed critically.

I don't understand that comment, considering this game has been getting a lot of good reviews. :/

I was there when Super Mario World first came out. Playing it for the first time on my cousin's brand-new SNES, coming from my NES at home... let me tell you, it blew my socks off, and the improvement in graphics from Mario Bros. 3 played a HUGE part in it. That parallax!

So, yes!

More so when I played Mario 64 for the first time. That was the graphical leap from one console to another that impressed me the most, ever, in my entire life I've been gami...

I have both. The XL is hands down the best all around. The graphics look about the same, which is impressive considering the resolution is the same. Whoever told you it looks worse is a liar.

The XL has a tad better battery life, it's more comfortable for your hands, the graphic quality is the same (not better nor worse), the select - start - home buttons are ACTUAL buttons, the 3D slider now has a "click" to it so you have a clear tactile feedback when you turn...

Well, Nintendo exclusives then. It's almost the same thing. :P

You have no idea how much money Sony and MIcrosoft lost in the first years of the PS3 and Xbox 360, do you?

This ain't anything new. Actually, Nintendo is losing LESS money with the Wii U than Sony and Microsoft did for their current consoles.

To say or even imply that Nintendo is doomed, especially considering how much money they won with the DS, DSi, Wii and now the 3DS, not to mention their game sales (Nintendo has the best selling IPs in the market, f...

He was talking about the remake, not the original, buddy. The remake was a flop.

Yet the N64 and Gamecube still turned a nice profit for Nintendo in the end. Actually, the Cube turned more of a profit for Nintendo than the original Xbox did for Microsoft, because Nintendo sold the Cube at a profit for almost the entirety of its generation whereas the first Xbox made Microsoft bleed money during all of its lifetime.

But apparently, if you don't finish first in the market, you flopped.

Lastly, you say matter of factly that the Wii U wil...

"About the Wii U version specifically: how will the graphics compare to the game running on other consoles?

"We always prefer to aim for 30fps generally in order to keep gameplay-specific features like having more cars on track or better weather effects etc.. so that’s standard across all consoles, and we’re more likely to utilize the native 720p support of the Wii U for launch especially since our physics and rendering systems demand a lot of processing power in or...

@BestGamesNetwork: dear God. Razor's Edge was also exclusive to the Wii U, and that didn't stop Team Ninja from making it multiplatform later.

Don't even get me started with Rayman Legends.

Here's the gist of it: unless a IP is completely OWNED by one of the Big Three (Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft), there's always a chance of said IP appearing in one of the other 2 platforms, even if it was "exclusive" to a single platform initia...

@diddybeats: but... even if those games appeared in the Wii U's eShop as Virtual Console games, they wouldn't be HD.

What are you talking about?

Please look at my later reply to Baylex above. My argument stands.

Baylex, if you're talking about resolution only, then compare the numbers:

Wii U's gamepad resolution: 854 x 480

http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

PS Vita's screen resolution: 960 x 544

Now, if you're talking about gr...

Even Wii Music is a good game. People wanted it to be Rock Band or something like that, but Wii Music is just a pretty casual music game to chill out, and better suited for kids. It's not a bad game by any means.

I'm not arguing that, it's definitely absurd to play an HD console on an SDTV nowadays, especially considering HDTV's are so stupidly cheap now.

I was merely replying to you how to play Wii U on a SDTV, is all. :)

Don't bother. Dylila is easily one of the worst trolls of all of N4G, and that is an amazing feat.

4838d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

If you're going to troll, do it right. The Vita's screen is actually higher resolution than the Gamepad's.

Not that it proves anything but still, bad trolling is bad.

You can just use the old Wii's AV cables.
