"The WiiU, on the other hand, is hardly the online console"
That shows you don't have a Wii U. I had PS3 and Xbox 360, and now Wii U, and I can say that its online capabilities are comparable to those of the PS3 and Xbox. Plus it has Miiverse, which becomes quite a big part of the Wii U experience.
Based on that ignorant statement alone, your argument is worthless. Piracy will hurt the Wii U just as much as it hurt the Xbox 360, not more, probab...
Why? The first Wii U I bought was a deluxe, but it was stolen about 3 weeks ago, so now I got a white set. I decided to use the price difference (plus $50) towards an external HDD, and now I got myself a white set with a 2 TB hard drive, all for $390. Not bad if you ask me.
@Grimicyn: yes, really. If the rep told you that, then he has no idea what he's talking about. As long as it's the same system (be that a Wii, a DSi, a 3DS or a Wii U), you can redownload the content from their respective shops as many times as you want.
As TwinDad above me pointed out, in the 3DS's case, it's in the settings/other button in the eShop. That button is located at the far left, if I remember correctly.
Not completely true. If you lose the system, yes, you lost the games forever. However, if you delete any of your games, you can always redownload them again from the eShop, as many times as you want.
There was a pretty wide gap in terms of power between the first Playstation and the N64, and the media playback was also very different (CDs vs. cartridges) making both consoles wildly different from each other, each one with their very unique advantages and disadvantages. Because of this, there were very, very few games that both consoles shared (multiplatform). Their respective games libraries were comprised mainly by exclusives due to the big disparities between both machines.
Ok, no cloud gaming, but... how about some cloud saving?
Oh, yeah... cloud saving would be useless if you can't activate your Nintendo Network ID on another Wii U console.
So, how about fixing that, and then putting cloud saving?
Please? That is, in my opinion, the Wii U's biggest flaw right now (besides lack of games, of course, but those are definitelly coming out eventually).
That's... stupid. The PS4 has been confirmed to release this year, and Watch Dog will probably be a launch title for the PS4, so even if the machine's not released by november, it would be a month or less until its actual release.
If you want to play Watch Dogs on the PS4 that badly, just wait it out. I suspect it won't be too long of a wait (at least, I hope so).
No. Don't defend this. The character limit is stupid, period.
Your point about the lack of spamposts like "my mom makes 1000 bucks an hour blablabla" is completely moot, seeing how Miiverse is so heavily controlled by moderators. Regardless of the character limits, if a post of that nature appeared, it would be deleted within minutes, and its user account probably banned on the act.
...and that makes me sad. I remember when the NES came bundled with Mario Bros / Duck Hunt and 2 controllers, and the SNES came bundled with Mario World and 1 controller... ok, no big deal, we can buy another controller, I guess...
...but then along came the N64 with only one controller and no bundled game at all. I couldn't believe it. Oh, and it also needed a memory card (sold separately) if you wanted to save the games!
;_;
Yeah, that's not what he's saying at all. He's just saying that he hopes it comes to the system, not whether it's capable of running it or not.
Virtual Boy was a straight flop for Nintendo, yes. But the Gamecube was profitable, so your sarcastic comment doesn't fly.
Yes, they have. The Wii U's online system is pretty damn good, and it has Miiverse, which has a HUGE appeal to a lot of people.
Then again, you're just a troll, so I don't really know why I'm even bothering. Sigh.
Speak for yourself. I love Mr. Game & Watch. :P
Ok, now this went from "day one" to "wait and see" for me.
I'll wait until I read some reviews, to get an idea regarding its length and replayability. If it doesn't have much of either, then I guess I'll pick the game when it drops in price.
Really? There's currently 11459 people in the Injustice community in Miiverse. Not bad considering it's a newly released game for a new console with a pretty low install base, IMO.
And why is that? Genuine question.
Oh, please. The download time depends on your internet connection's speed.
Mine is a pretty shitty connection less than 1 MB/s, and last night it was pretty unstable (lost connection twice downloading the update), and took me about an hour and a half to download it.
The update's size, BTW, is less than 700 MB. So, for anyone with a decent internet speed, this update should download fairly quickly. The annoying part is the install time, which takes abo...
Read. The. Articles.
Is it that hard?
Yes, Nintendo is going to be at E3, and they are going to do stuff. A lot of it, judging by Iwata's statements. They aren't doing a large conference, instead choosing to focus on several smaller events.
How about you read some articles past their titles, for a change? Nintendo IS going to be at E3, they just won't be making their usual big conference, instead focusing on communicating their news through other means (yes, at E3).
NINTENDO IS NOT SKIPPING E3.
