If the Wii U will be al;lowed to use multiple tablets it might make sense. If video is being streamed to the tablet it will need buffer. Especially if the Wii U will be capable of doing two different functions at the same time. Say a movie on the console and a streamed game on the tablet.
I never really notice those ads. It may be because I don't CLICK on them. People need to find things to bitch about because they heard someone bitch about it. If they start running them before your MP game starts, you have a point. Or your video. But sitting in the far corner where no one should be going unless they are planning to click on it is just looking to bitch.
The Wii U alreay has pleny of 3rd party support. Most of the hardcore games coming to PS3 and 360 are coming to Wii U.
Buy the IP for what. So they can go out of business too?
dazzrazz, all phones are overpriced. Not just iPhones. Gaming is different from phones business. Apple knows better than to price a console at $800. Unless it is far more than a console. If it is just another media center gaming console it'll be no more than $400 like the rest.
Tablets and cars are a fad.
Or if he was capable of doing your own thinking.
The other thing these studies never mention is that the number one school system in the world, Finland, only has a four and a half hour school day(1 1/2 hours are recess and personal interest periods). They also only have about a half hour of homework. Societies like to point the finger at anything but it's self.
In the US, the problems with education have zero to do with gaming and everything to do with a poorly run education system and a society built on self destructi...
I understand the desire to want to do everything in-house. Independence is always better than looking to some money hungry corporation to help you. I think it is more a matter of pacing. Small companies should use middleware and license engines. But I believe they should also use things like XBLA and PSN to introduce new IP. There is no reason a small devs should spend 20 million plus to intro new IP. Do an Arcade level. Even a playable tech demo. Create interest and then go for a AAA version...
Some of the same people complaining about the size of the controller probably love tablets.
Or maybe they are working on something that will far exceed what Intel is doing. That takes time. If HSA does work, Intel will be the ones without balls. And they will have a lot fewer customers too.
I'm hoping this is about HSA. Cloud gaming of anything else tethers you to someone else. HSA gives you far more power than traditional CPUs and no need for the tether.
I also did a study that says scientist should concentrate on more important things.
And one that says corporations cause grown-ups to sacrifice relationships and parental duties.
Another company down. Just goes to show you how careful you have to be. It's expensive making games and you can't afford to fail over and over. Not any company. This is why exclusives don't matter. Too much risk involved. When they don't sell you hurt your company. A few failures are fine when you're doing well otherwise. But when the company is struggling, no one can afford a series of failures. I know this wasn't an exclusive. But it makes the reality of the importan...
I'm not sure Bungie has much say in the exclusives area. I seem to remember part of the conditions for MS allowing them to go solo was right to first refusal and timed exclusives.
Not a bad deal considering if they make another Halo level success they will all be very rich and didn't have to pay everything to buy themselves back.
I think MS could announce the 720 at E3. That would slow 360 sales. But they could also drop the price of the Arcade to $149 and they would pick back up.
I believe what Nintendo does will have a lot to do with it. If Nintendo has a much more powerful than expected machine(by most), MS and Sony will quickly move to "leak" closed door footage of the new consoles. If Nintendo is stupid and makes a slightly more powerful than current gen console, MS and Sony can wait u...
MS also got a block on Motorola phones so I'm sure they will come to an agreement.
There are, or I should say were, a lot of companies that catered to gamers. You have to smart. I agree with MadMen. What they have been doing works for them. And they sell more copies of most of the major releases. They are very profitable and that mans they will be around to keep making games. Exclusives rarely sell many consoles. I wouldn't waste the money.
The PS3 isn't old? Who are the people that believe it isn't. PCs have passed consoles ten times over. That means consoles are old. It time for both Sony and MS to move on. Continue to support the current gen, but offer new machines. And hopefully Nintendo isn't stupid and the Wii U is several times the power of the current generation.
Developers that don't want to move on are small or didn't make much money on the current systems. The last thing they want is a new system with new methods to learn. Especially if there is another architecture change. They know that the previous generation will have weaker sales and they will be left out. It's better for them to start on the new system with arcade games than to keep trying to delay. That or get an investor. The next generation will start this year whether they are...
Cable and gaming are two different things. No One is not going to buy a 720 because the 360 has cable. The 720 will have cable and better games.
