But Sony was pushing the PS3 as a Blu-ray player. MS adds the other features as an additional service. It's not their fault people like them so much. But it is to their benefit.
Dark Forbes is a business magazine. All of the "anti-Sony" articles you named are geared toward giving investors knowledge about a potential investment. Slow PS3 and Vita sales hurt dividends. So does selling the console at a loss for so long. MS is making a healthy profit from the 360. ...
The spc draw off of a lot of things that are already out there or are sson to be launched by others. AMD is making the parts and the description I have seen sounds a lot like a modified chip that AMD already sells for $80 or so retail.

This will be another $250. But it will be a lot more powerful. Check out info on HSA ans direct compute ...
The Xbox brand has been going for over 12 years and has barely made a dent in the Japanese market. They are crazy to still be trying. They should import to those that want one ans stop try to sell to an audience that so obviously is not interested no matter what they do. They should skip TGS and all Japanese events. I would do small events that cater to Japanese Xbox owners and skip the big shows.
MS should rent a space and invite Japanese gamers through their gamertags. Supp...
Vita doesn't sell for a reason. Or for many of the reasons people have mentioned. It was supposed to have one of the greatest group of launch title ever. It didn't matter. The price was said to be lower than expected. It didn't matter. It has many titles coming. So what's wrong.
It is probably the same as always. A vocal minority. A small group that is in love with Sony. But the majority aren't that interested. I know I'll get a bunch of disagrees. An...
New thing, old thing. It doesn't matter. Sony fans say exclusives matter and that is the difference. But it wasn't. They sold fewer consoles with four of their heavy hitters. It was a six year old console beating the console that supposedly started the generation. There are no excuses. And considering most of those exclusives barely sold any copies, how can you claim they mattered?
SO I agree that new equipment sells consoles. Kinect sold consoles. But Sony exclusives...
Insomniac decided to make their future IP multi-plat. There is no reason for Sony to dump them on Resistance. Maybe they are too small. Maybe they aren't interested. Maybe Sony isn't interested in them. But some of the post suddenly question their ability. Even after all of the exclusives bragging. Don't act as if many fanboys didn't turn against them after they decided to try to earn more money.
MS was definitely after Sony. Sony dominated gaming the last two generations. The Gamecube barely sold. It was no better than the original Xbox.
MS and Sony are both competing for the same market. The hardcore gaming entertainment hub market. Nintendo barely bothered with online and other forms of entertainment seemed to be an afterthought for them. The Wii doesn't even play DVDs.
Plus MS has actually allowed some of their games to be published on Ninte...
They might be under the impression that it is a small group of people that say exclusives matter. Sales numbers and console sales say that they don't matter.
Sony released four of their biggest exclusives last year. Resistance 3, LBP 2, Killzone 3 and InFamous 2. It should have been a huge year for Sony. Those are some of the titles the fanboys love to brag about. What happened? Xbox outsold the PS3 worldwide for the year.
Exclusives don't matter.
Exclusives don't always sell consoles. If they did, the PS3 would have passed the 360 a long time ago. It hasn't because all of those exclusives that fanboys keep talking about haven't made a difference. Gears and Halo have sold more consoles than all of Sony's exclusives combined.
None of Sony's exclusives are a factor in the mainstream. Not many outside of the gaming community knows what Resistance, LBP or InFamous are. But there's a chnce they know...
No one said they were Sony. But when they were a Sony exclusive studio no one questioned their ability. Now that they are multi-plat, they are questionable. It just shows how useless the opinion of fanboys are. Resistance is one of those exclusives Sony fanboys love to brag about being the PS difference. Don't abandon Insomniac now.
Just because they are no longer a Sony only studio doesn't mean they can't continue to make some titles that are exclusive to one pl...
We don't know the PS4 and 720 specs so we can't say the current PCs are ahead of them. There are changes coming to CPUs and how GPUs are used that could allow the next consoles to be a huge leap in power. And it's things not available on the PC right now.
The GPU in the 360 was one of the most advanced GPUs when it was introduced and now most GPUs use some of that tech. Nvidia had all but given up on the idea of Unified Shaders until AMD released it on the 360. S...
Insomniac no longer a heavy hitter? Wow.
Now for another episode of "As the Fanboy Turns".
Blu-ray is the future. It will never die. Sony said so.
Who really give a fu--. They screwed it up. They aren't really changing anything. It's like someone wrecking your car ad thinking an explanation fixes it. If this isn't an update, I won't even bother. Even if it is, I won't be replaying it. So again, who give a fu--.
EA is just stupid. It lets the bean counters make all of the decisions. Buying the NFL license and then never really improving the game. Pushing out ME3 and not retaining all of the original team. They seem to need to learn the same lessons over and over. This is Infinity Ward all over again. Letting games people make the decisions would have given them CoD. And once you turn the internet crowd against you, you have a huge mountain to climb. It's not about retreads, it's about public ...
Just a placeholder. After canceling pre-orders that were made at $199, they don't want anyone to get a false price expectation.
Sharty,
You have to admit all of those MS games sold over 2.5 million copies because people like them. Those PS games sold little. Because no one really plays them. Apparently MS makes the games people actually want.
My bad. Looked again and notice the word stationary. Thanks.
I will never give EA money for another Madden game. I haven't since Madden 2002 and nothing in any of their demos changed my mind. Football games would be so much further ahead if 2K had that license. I get a football game when 2K comes back. EA is getting a free ride because they still have the same stiff players and cheesy mechanics.
Kaz is really making moves. Sony seems to finally be in good hands again. Not that Stringer was bad, but he wasn't allowed to do much. I don't know if it is their current predicament, Kaz is better accepted or Kaz is just more aggressive. But Sony is finally moving as one company.
