If you subtract the RRoD consoles from Microsoft's total Sony would be in second place. But it also would mean 360 owners buy a lot more games. And are the real hardcore gamers. Because all of the major hardcore titles sell a lot more on the 360.
Analyst are often wrong. But Wii U is in a tough position. If it's underpowered, it will struggle in the long run. I believe Nintendo will be smarter than that. But they are acting like they have something to hide.
Sounds like Sony is positioning for a price cut. They should be announcing a die shrink soon. Took long enough.

Nintendo needs to announce a price, release date, gameplay other than the E3 stuff that looks much better than current gen and some specs. Otherwise I have no interest. I was interested at the prospect of someone bringing in the next generation. Not the next generation of controller. Plus it looks like MS killed their vision and spit on it with that.

Taking risk is great as long as it calculated risk. Sony was taking stupid risk which is really just stupidity. My point with Sony is that they are now doing exclusives strictly to hold onto their install base. It's no longer about doing something new.
